About Liz & Art

Proud parents of 4, we are an artistic family living in Toronto.

The apartment is the residence of our daughter who frequently stays at her parents' home.

Easy-going, resourceful and reliable, with a good sense of humour, we are curious to know and knowledgeable about what's going on in Toronto (including the music scene, historic sites, ballet, festivals, exhibitions, sports events, and diverse and innovative cuisine.) We would be glad to share our expertise with you!

Active travelers, we spent a year working in - and exploring with our little one - South Korea, so we understand the needs of individuals who travel for business and pleasure, couples seeing a city for the first time, or families with children, showing Toronto's landmarks to their loved ones.

We strive to make sure every guest feels welcomed, comfortable, and safe in Toronto.

Our first motto is 'Of those things only should one be afraid

Which have the power of doing others harm;

Of the rest, no; because they are not fearful.' (Canto II - Inferno, The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri.)

Our second motto is a proverb, 'Everything that happens in life is for the best.'

If there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable, just let us know! We will try to meet your needs and accommodate your schedule.

Welcome to Toronto! Bienvenue, Willkommen, Benvenuto, Welkom, 歡迎光臨, 歡迎, 歡迎光臨, ようこそ, 환영합니다, добро пожаловать в Торонто!

Why Liz & Art chose Toronto

We love our modern elite loft which is spatious and light-filled.

It is a safe and elegant place to stay and live in - very quiet, clean, family-friendly, cosy and romantic...

Location! Right in the downtown Toronto, recently named one of the world's coolest neighbourhoods by Vogue magazine, Queen Street West is where cutting edge galleries dot the street scape from Trinity Bellwoods Park to Dufferin Street. This hip strip oozes creativity, and features pop-up markets and public art installations such as the works of Canadian mosaic artist, Luis Jacob, under the Dufferin Bridge - the closesest one to our building. Three years in the making, Jacob's Spirits of the Grotto consists of 34 large metal panels, each bearing a pair of mosaic tile discs representing eyes. Anchored by great nightlife, eclectic shops and unique boutiques, Queen Street West is a must see for any visitor to the city.

We will be glad to list you among our welcomed guests!

Great location, wonderful apartment

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter and I enjoyed 3 nights here for a mini holiday in Toronto. The apartment is exactly as described, well set up and very clean. We did not do any cooking as we enjoyed the many restaurants and cafés in the neighbourhood. Liz answered all our queries immediately. The apartment is in a great location-in close proximity to museums and shopping. I highly recommend a stay here.

Ideal place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed staying in this appartment - in particular its position, its views, its details, the parking place. Renting an appartment always requires some additional paperwork (communication and agreements), but this appartment is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

Having Fun in Toronto

  • 5 of 5

Liz and Art were wonderful hosts. The loft offered easy access to public transportation, which offered a short ride to all of the key Toronto attractions. The loft was also situated in an up-and-coming neighborhood, which allowed us to explore some areas of Toronto we would not have normally seen. Overall, it was a very positive experience. Thank you for your hospitality.

great and safe location

  • 3 of 5

We stayed at this condo for 5 nights at the beginning of July. There were four of us, my husband and two teenagers. It was a great and safe location; the appliances were new, street cart station right outside the building and convenience store on the corner. Easy check in / check out arrangements. The condo had a lot of potential; however we found it to be way too personalized. A lot of personal items were found – used toothbrushes in a Ziploc bag were found in the bathroom - master bedroom , old / very used bath towels that did not match, personal belongings were found in the brown benches at the entrance, soap bars were open and used already, over accessorized with decoration; squeaky bed in master bedroom. No bed sheets for the extra bed. There were house rules in picture frames all over the loft. Overall the pictures look better than the place does in person

Owner's Response: Dear Magda, We are glad that you liked our downtown location, easy transportation and communication, new appliances, and our commitment to cleanliness in the loft. We are sorry that your curiosity led you to open our personal belongings inside the loft. It's no wonder, because this is our home, and we have hidden zip locked personal belongings and a storage for cleaning products which is used as well as a bench for suitcases. We didn’t expect you to inspect every corner of the hosts' hidden box and closed shelves in the bathrooms because all the amenities and features we promised to provide for four guests were provided, and you expressed your satisfaction upon check-in and check-out. "Curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back". So we hope that you liked your stay and we would appreciate your understanding that every home has its own style, accessories and hosts' personal belongings which are simply necessary for the personalized household. Thank you for taking the time and using your research potential to write feedback regarding your recent stay at our home. Regards, L&A

Well presented apartment in excellent location

  • 5 of 5

My sister and I spent 9 happy nights in this roomy, light 2 bedroom apartment in Queens St West. The owners were very helpful. The location was excellent, close to lots of interesting local shops and cafes. It is right next to a streetcar stop for east-west travel and a good bus line for North-south travel making access to the whole of Toronto very easy and convenient.
