Nice, Clean, and Quiet.

I would stay here again. Nice size for family of 4 wtih dog. Hot tub was nice size to relax in. Everything was clean and there was sufficient cooking pot/pans. Great stay with 2 teenagers.

Where do you live?

Charming, convenient, secluded and PERFECT!

My husband I and celebrated our anniversary here in this precious little cabin. It was immaculate, well kept and had everything we needed. I loved how secluded it was, we never even saw another human being during our stay - which was exactly what we wanted. It was very close to town when we wanted to grab a bite to eat or wander thru the shops in Wimberley. The hot tub was immaculate and worked great. The evening of our arrival is was raining and foggy so we had a hard time finding the property, but we called the owner and she walked us through arriving safely. 5 stars is not enough for this precious little hill country escape!!

Quiet getaway still close to town!

Great quiet place 5 minutes to the Wimberley square and 10 minutes from the Wimberley Valley Winery. Nice hot tub, clean house, washer, dryer, dishwasher, nice kitchen, and excellent satellite tv. Tv’s were a little small and WiFi a bit slow but so what. Good enough. Needs new mattresses and a few new kitchen things like cookie sheets and pans but not a deal breaker. Looking forward to coming back on our next Wimberley trip. Thanks for such a nice place to stay!

Beautiful hill country setting

We enjoyed our holiday stay at this nice and very private house. We loved the location and the secure gated entrance. We also loved the layout of the house for our party of 3. We do like to cook and the kitchen was a little under equipped but we enjoyed the outside area and porches. It was cold and the electric fire place was a hit with my 77 year old mother. We enjoyed Wimberley & San Marcos so much. Due to the location, privacy, and house set up we will definitely be back to this house!

nice and close to town

This property is only 3.5 miles from the Wimberley town square. Wimberley is situated ideally between Austin to the north and San Antonio to the south. Regardless from which direction you arrive, Wimberley is the first place where the terrain markedly changes. The second you arrive in this valley, you instantly realize that you are in the Hill Country. Its location is the essence of the atmosphere that permeates this community. One moment you are driving on a plateau, and suddenly you drop into this beautiful, idyllic little valley where Wimberley is nestled.

Canyon Lake is one of the four premier lakes in Texas. What makes it such a coveted place to enjoy is how it is nestled in the Texas Hill Country, giving it a certain beauty that is all its own. Canyon Lake is only a 30-minute drive from downtown Wimberley.

There are a lot of "must sees" in the area, but here are some of our personal suggestions...

1. Blue Hole is frequently ranked as one of the “10 best Swimming Holes in Texas,” by travel magazines and respected publications like “Texas Monthly,”

2. Jacob’s Well is among the most unique perpetual artesian springs in the world.

3. Wimberley is the Zipline. Participants fasten themselves into a safety harness, complete with protective gear, and the fly 2,600 feet across some of the most beautiful terrain in Texas.

4. Corral Theatre. This unique, small town movie-going experience has been America’s only walk-in, sit-down outdoor movie theatre since 1948. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night during the summer, the Corral offers a slate of first run movies for the entire family.

5. And a long list of vineyards including but not limited to Mandola's Estate Winery, Wimberley Valley Winery, The Bella Vista Ranch, and Driftwood Vineyards.

Reservation Changes: You are welcomed to add additional guests, pets, and additional nights to your stay at any time. However once the final payment is collected you will not be able to decrease the amount of guests, pets, or length of stay. We cannot refund any monies should you decide to shorten your stay or less guests show up.

Cancellations: If a reservation is cancelled more than 30 days before the arrival date it is fully refundable minus a $50.00 service fee. If a reservation is cancelled within 30 days of the arrival date, full payment is forfeited.

Renter's Responsibility: The renter's failure to possess written confirmation of the reservation provided by Hills of Texas Lodging will not be grounds for canceling the reservation. This includes failure to locate the property, appearance of the property, and access to the property. If you do not receive a confirmation email, or cannot access your check-in information on Homeaway it is your responsibility to contact us to obtain the necessary information for you arrival.

Manager's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
