We are a block from the beach. You can take the Barnegat Light Beach Tram to and from our life guarded beach. You can walk or drive to the end of 7th Street, walk over the dune and sit at the park bench. The tram stops approximately every 10 minutes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (does not run from 1 to 2 p.m. when the driver has lunch, last pick up is around 4pm). Load up the kids and your beach goodies. When you want to return to the house from the beach, simply wait at the park benches at the beach, the Barnegat Light Beach Tram will take you back to 7th Street. Also, you can drive to 29th or 30th Street and park on street and walk the short distance there. There is also a children's bay beach if desired.
New!!!! Take the LBI Shuttle from Barnegat Light to Holgate. Leave your vehicles behind and go anywhere on LBI via the shuttle. The shuttle runs 7 days a week from 8:00am to 10:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 11:00pm Friday and Saturday. Flag down the brightly colored bus on any corner of Long Beach Boulevard. Wait time is 5 to 20 minutes maximum. In Barnegat Light the shuttle goes up Bay View Avenue past Viking Village to the lighthouse.
