Soaring high above Oualie Beach on a private road in Jones Estate the property faces almost due West providing a breathtaking view of St. Kitts and the Nevis Coastline.

Sunsets on the wraparound deck are part of the days routine in the countdown to the GREEN FLASH.

A walk down the hill or a short drive brings you to the white powdery sands of Oualie Beach, considered by many to be the best on the Island. Tuesday is barbecue night at the Oualie featuring local musicians and dancing.

The house features an open kitchen with all the appliances. The owner has grown up in a family devoted to food and the culinary arts,

All three bedrooms provide a "wake Up" view of the Caribbean. The elevation plus the constant trade winds ensure a comfortable environment.

We will meet you on arrival. We can't promise a steel band but we can promise a warm Caribbean welcome. Realizing that you will be suffering from travel fatigue, a complimentary dinner will be prepared your first night. For that dinner many of the ingredients in the menu will come fresh from the owners hydroponic farms. You can access the farm on Facebook.NEVIS HYDRO GARDENS. During your stay ,if you so desire, a field trip to the farm can be arranged.

About Don F. Mills

I was born in Oklahoma many years ago. Grew up mainly on the East Coast. Graduated from Duke Un. and worked for many years in NYC. Owned a 30 acre farm in Bucks County, Pa. after retiring from NYC and started a Country Inn. Retired from the Inn in 1994 and came to Nevis. Best move I ever made.

Why Don F. Mills chose New Castle

My wife and I traveled to the Caribbean on vacations through out our working years. We would usually travel with two other couples as we always preferred to rent villas rather than stay in hotels. We have been to Jamaica numerous times as well as Tobago, St. Lucia, Aruba etc.

When we retired early we knew we wanted to come to the Caribbean. We chose Montserrat because it was quiet and laid back. However, six month after we settled in the volcano arrived and chased us over to Nevis. We wanted a property that was near the ocean and big enough for our grandchildren

What makes this villa unique

The wraparound porch is the signature of this property. Due to its high elevation by walking around you can see miles of the Nevis Coastline up down. It is an extraordinary experience particularly at Sundown when one witnesses on some evenings a kaleidoscope of colors

All the comforts of home but in a beautiful setting.

Don went the extra mile for us. The Sea Bridge Ferry was not working on the day we crossed from St. Kitts to Nevis due to rough water because of the wind. We turned in our rental car and took the water taxi to Nevis instead. In order to do that, however, Don worked at getting us a car rental since we no longer had our car. There were no cars available but Don arranged to borrow a car from a friend and he gave us his car. We really appreciated his efforts.

Kathy's meal was delicious: salad, lamb chops, potatoes, green beans and a fruit dessert. That is another special event that Don arranges for all his guests.

My husband enjoyed watching one of the football games on the TV in the villa. And I got to read, occasionally looking up to check the game.

Don has a good selection of books; I read three of his books and my husband read one and a half. We both enjoyed the reading.

My husband is a scuba diver and the location of the villa is on Ridge Road which is right across the road from the villa.

The view from the porch is wonderful and both of us were able to see the "green flash" at least once.

The kitchen is one of the best stocked kitchen that we have encountered, even an ice maker.

Beautiful Views. Most comfortable Home in 13 visits to Nevis !

We have been vacationing in Nevis for 13 years and always enjoyed our stay. This year we rented the home of Don Mills. Don is a first class landlord. He went over and beyond the expectations of any landlord. Always there for any of our needs. He organized our ride from St. Kitts to the water taxi and into Oualie beach where he met us and drove us to his home. He did the same when we departed.

The rental home is so comfortable it felt like our "Home away from home". The views from the deck are panoramic. It was so relaxing to sit on his swivel rocking chair on the deck and watch the vervet monkey's play, or enjoy watching the sunset in the evening. We saw two sunsets that ended with the famous "green flash". We know we will never have to look for any other rental property. Don Mills home is the place to be.

The island of Nevis has so much to offer and enjoy both day and night. Our first night began with meeting Chef Kathy. She is the chef for Lime Restaurant and will also cook for you in the comfort of your home. She was wonderful and her dishes are fabulous. Other must's are: Banana's Restaurant where you may meet Jillian who also owns the boutique shop right next store, Chrishi Beach and Restaurant, The Hermitage for Wednesday night pig roast, Montpelier, and Golden Rock, which you should visit during the day to take in all it's beauty. There is also yoga on the beach, the Botanical Gardens, horse back riding, golf, hikes and climbs to the Source, the Waterfalls, or to the top of Mount Nevis.

You will find that the island of Nevis is truly beautiful, friendly and warm.

Comfortable apartment, great location and host.

Don kindly accommodated us in his ground floor apartment for a weekend at the end of July as he was hosting a close friend's birthday party in his upstairs apartment that weekend. I came over from St. Kitts first and Don met me from the car ferry and showed me everything I needed to settle in. The property is only a short drive from the Sea Bridge and it's equally easy to get there from the passenger ferry or airport. The apartment is comfortable and homely and I particularly enjoyed the paintings on the walls. Don left us provisions for breakfast and fruit, which was a very nice touch. The views from the veranda are stunning, downstairs and upstairs and both St. Kitts island and Nevis Peak are visible. It was nice to just sit and listen to the birds and take in the vista and to eat outside. We enjoyed a glass of wine with Don on our first night and he gave us pointers on places to visit. Oualie Beach is very close and picturesque. Don showed us his upstairs apartment which had three lovely, individually decorated bedrooms, with en-suites and a beautiful central living / kitchen area. We found the price of our stay very competitive compared with the resorts and were very glad we found Don and his home. We would stay again without hesitation and it would be a great place to take family and friends.

Owner's Response: Rachel Cartledge , who is a Doctor of Veterinary Science at Ross University in St Kitts, and her friend Geraldine visited us during the annual Culturama Pageant in Nevis. They were our first guests, and were a delight to host. They found the downstairs suite at the property perfect for two travelers. During their stay they were quite active as it was their first visit to Nevis. They did, however, in the last moments of their stay found time to join us for upstairs birthday celebrations prior to returning to St. Kitts by boat. We do indeed hope with their busy schedules at the Veterinary Clinic they will find time for a future visit. Don
