About Sabrina and Scott

Scott grew up in nearby Concord, New Hampshire. He tours the United States as a singer songwriter but keeps his sailboat in Kittery. Sabrina lives in Montana where she edits children's books and works for the Montana Quarterly magazine.

Sabrina and Scott purchased this house in 2015

Why Sabrina and Scott chose Kittery

We bought this property to have a home in Scott's native New England, and we are happy to share it with others who appreciate its lovely setting on the coast of southern Maine and all that the Kittery/York Beach/Portsmouth areas have to offer.

What makes this house unique

We love this house because of its views across the water and the tranquil little cove, dock, and boathouse. It is private and quiet, yet we are so close to downtown Kittery and beautiful, historic Portsmouth. It's a special place.

We had a wonderful week at this charming cottage. The back deck is where we lived for the week. It was so relaxing to take our coffee out to the table in the morning and listen to the seagulls while drinking our coffee. My husband and college-aged kids were happy to be able to launch the kayaks from the shore and get quite a workout paddling along the shoreline. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything. We used the grill daily. We were happy to find some beach chairs and a cooler to use on our trips to the nearby beaches. It is close to everything--beaches, outlet mall, great restaurants....easy access to the main roads. Sabrina has thought of everything to make the cottage feel like home. We would definitely stay again.

Cozy and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Very late in adding our five stars but an enthusiastic endorsement nonetheless! The kitchen had all the necessities to start our visit, and was stocked with any tools we might want to prepare food at home and eat in. Sabrina and Scott provided directions to some of their favorite nearby locations, including restaurants, beaches, parks, cafes and markets; we went to many of them and were very much in agreement. A glass of wine down on the dock was a nice way to enjoy the evening.

Beautiful and Charming Cottage - A real treasure

  • 5 of 5

This "home" is a wonderful place to stay. I say home because each night my husband and I would say after a day of exploring, visiting family or friends; it's time to go home. We really appreciate the cozy lay out and well maintained condition of the cottage. Sabrina was very helpful and had everything prepared very nicely for us. It is a wonderful place; wish it was not so close to the main road. Having said that, we would love to visit again.

Excellent juxtaposition of past and present.

  • 5 of 5

This is a true Maine waterfront cottage with all our needs met in what seems like the comforts of a much larger home. These are very responsive owners, who genuinely care about the presentation and cleanliness of their home, as well as have kept the perfect juxtaposition of past and present in their remodel of this wonderful spot. From the hand turn doorbell to the instant access internet, original architectural lines to the modern glass art tiles in the shower, this lovely home has had the best of its past preserved and brought back to life with all modern amenities. With an easy access location, you are able to sit on the front porch and watch the world go by or walk only steps out the back to the rear waterfront patio and watch the birds, boats and water go slipping past. Really something for everyone! The surrounding homes are beautiful, the water a more than peaceful respite and our visit enjoyable. Sabrina and Scott have thought of everything to make sure your trip here will be the same. Put this place is on your bucket list, you won't be disappointed.

Sweet Kittery house

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I (and our two sweet dogs) loved staying at Sabrina and Scott’s delightful cottage by the water. It was extremely clean and very comfortable. Everything we needed and much more was supplied; there was nothing I could think of that wasn’t available. There was even fresh juice, milk, bread, bacon and organic eggs upon our arrival!

The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and bright and have new counters and fixtures, and the bedrooms had soft, fresh linens. The dining area, the front porch and the deck are wonderful gathering spots to get together or just sit and relax.

The location was ideal for us, since we were visiting family in Kittery. We were close to the shore, the shopping outlets and a variety of good places for breakfast, lunch or dinner, should you choose to eat out.

Sabrina was exceptionally accommodating, especially since we took the space only days ahead of time, and she provided a small crib for our baby granddaughter.

The views of the river are great; we were lucky to have a full moon during our stay and the reflection on the water at night was especially lovely! It was a wonderful visit and we would definitely stay again and certainly would recommend it to couples and small families.
