DO YOU WANT TO ENJOY NEW YORK CITY, BUT ALSO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL?
You will love this unique property in a brand new development Arverne-By-The-Sea in Rockaway Beach. It offers an oasis of calm by the beach, as well as all urban amenities that you would expect in a big city.
Truly a refuge from it all, it is also:
- a step away from MTA subway line A, taking you to Downtown Manhattan in under one hour
- two subway stops from JFK Airport cutting 80% of your airport transfer time and cost
- couple of miles from I-678, a major interstate highway on the East Coast
- a thirty minutes drive from Long Island's Gold Coast
But above all it is within two minutes walk from the magnificent Rockaway Beach, stretching for miles along the Atlantic Ocean.
The SUNNY DOUBLE ROOM is on the ground floor of the house, adjacent to a four-piece bathroom, so it feels like an en-suite tucked away from the rest of the house. Very private and quiet. In the morning the room is flooded with sunshine and you can hear the seabirds - seagulls, oyster catchers, cormorants, etc. Nature is on your door step. To top it off - inhale the unforgettable Rockaway air, washed by the double "lungs" of Atlantic Ocean and Jamaica Bay.
Living room, kitchen, dining room, outdoor patio and a backyard are all on the first floor of the house. Our smart UHDTV has over 500 movie and entertainment channels in UHD, as well as commercial quality internet connection to Netflix, YouTube and other favorites. Please feel free to ask how to operate the remote or to cook a meal.
You will love this house not only for its location, by the beach, subway line and airport, but also because of its open plan design and beautiful furnishings. Vibrant colors, high quality furniture and furnishings, as well as ample space will help you relax and rest. Spacious living/dining room offers ample seating, while the kitchen, overlooking landscaped park offers alfresco dining. Two bathrooms and laundry room ensure that you can easily access all facilities. Large windows overlooking landscaped park make the house airy and spacious.
My wife and I came into New York three days early for a trip to Italy from Salt Lake City, UT. This was the perfect place to stay with the warmth and courtesy of our host and hostess. Jak and Natalia were wonderful and provided great company during our stay. The location is a perfect spot for flights in and out of JFK with easy access to the MTA Subway system and a short walk to the home. We traveled into Brooklyn for the Brooklyn Tabernacle and then onto the 9/11 Memorial, all with easy access via the A Train that is a very short walk from the house. At $2.75 per ride on the subway, it was an easy and inexpensive way to get around without a car. We would definitely stay here again!
Great place to stay, she was very helpful giving us tips on how to navigate through the subway and the city. You truly made it feel like we were coming back home each night. Beautiful neighborhood and a great beach. I hope to return in the summertime sometime soon!
With no prior knowledge of the area, we felt very fortunate to have ended up there. The house is a short walk to restaurants, the beach, and a subway station. It was the perfect home base for all our city adventures. The neighborhood felt safe and surprisingly quiet with its close proximity to the subway and airport. Natasha and Jack were very friendly and welcoming. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Natasha and Jak couldn't have been more gracious or welcoming. We immediately felt very comfortable in their beautiful home, which was clean, inviting, and perfectly located just 2 blocks from the area's gorgeous beaches. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and we had all the space that we needed. The desk in the room was perfect for a laptop. The 5 mile-long boardwalk on the beach provided a great place to walk. We truly enjoyed everything and will be back again, since we have friends in Breezy Point (which has very limited access to nonresidents). Thank you, Natasha and Jak! We loved your home and our morning talks over coffee! Mary-Alice and Phil
Jak & Natasha were wonderful! We arrived after midnight and Jak was still very gracious and gave us the quick tour. I asked if he had a bottle of water. The next morning we slept in late and when we got up Jak had been to the grocery store and bought us a case of water. Carrying the water from the grocery store even though it was about 1000 feet away would not have been easy. The house was new and immaculate, the neighborhood was beautiful the whole area was very clean and we felt very safe.
They were wonderful to talk to and had lots of good traveling tips. Also, Natasha was extremely quick on all communications. Way above expectations.
This is one of those deals that you probably would think this is too good to be true, however, it was true and it was great!
The subway was very close and very easy to navigate. We bought weeklong passes for unlimited usage for $31 per person. With all of our on and off traveling, we paid for our tickets the first day.
I highly recommend this!
Stayed here for 3 nights during my first ever visit to NYC. Have to say that the hosts were incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. We went over a map of the city as soon as I got in and they gave me great tips on the most useful subway stops and sightseeing (the Staten Island ferry tip saved me quite a bit :-)). Location has great access to the airport on the A-train. Would definitely recommend!
