Great experience!

  • 5 of 5

We rented from Nina 2nd time. This one is as beautiful as the one in West Dennis we rented last year. We were surprised by how large and roomy of this property is after we entered the home. The online pictures just can't do the justice.

The house is in very good condition, very clean and nicely decorated. There is a very large master bedroom with on suite bathroom, total 4 bedrooms, three bathrooms. There are plenty of spaces in the large living room, kitchen and screened porch. Large deck with two tables and gas grill.

This is our first time in Orleans. Plenty of restaurants. What a beautiful town as I was driving around.

Nina, thank you for making our stay at this beach house so pleasant and memorable ! Our family really love Nauset Beach! This beach is by far the most beautiful beach we've ever seen. Kids loved seeing the seals! Kids had a ton of fun at Nauset Beach.

We truly felt like at home. We highly recommend this rental home to anyone.

We love this wonderful vacation house!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a very peaceful weekend visit to this house. The house is well stocked with all the kitchenware and utensils, bed spreads, etc. The house is perfectly set up and provides space to spread out. The spacious livingroom with impressive brick fireplace just makes you feel open and roomy. The sun room was a favorite place with plenty of seating and far enough away to not disturb sleeping kids. It connect to the deck which is a perfect setting to hearing the birds chirping on the back yard, so peaceful. The house itself is immaculate and only less than a mile to the breath taking Nauset beach. . The location of the house is phenomenal! It is literally at the beginning of the National Seashore. It is also not too far from Orleans town center where you can find all shops and restaurants. We love our stay.

Lovely Vacation Home short Stroll to Nauset Beach

  • 5 of 5

The house is exactly as it is pictured - beautifully decorated and all the essentials to make for a wonderful vacation. Less than 1 mile to Nauset Beach - a beautiful walk/bike down to the beach. There was plenty of room for cooking, hanging out doing jigsaw puzzles during one of the only rainy days, BBQ on the deck, and resting comfortably. The house is very clean, modern with cathedral ceiling and 2nd floor lookout balcony railing overlook the living area- kids love it. We love the fact that there are two bedrooms on the first floor, and two on the 2nd floor which will be perfect for elderly or two families vacation together here.

We love this home and sure be back!

Orleans is a beautiful town--the perfect mix of history, convenience and culture. It's the starting point of world-famous Nauset Beach--known for its unique topography and dramatic weather events.

It is also home to Rock Harbor on the bay side, the ideal spot for watching fishing boats by day and breathtaking sunsets in the evening.

Birdwatchers will enjoy the different species seen in Orleans every year, in places like Nauset Marsh and Beach, Pochet Island and Skaket Beach.

History

Orleans (pop. 5,890) was incorporated in 1797. During the early 1800s the main industries were farming, fishing, whaling and salt making.

The windmills that remain on the Cape are a testimony to the saltworks days-- they were used to pump salt water into shallow vaults for evaporation. Orleans' Jonathan Young Windmill is on Route 28.

Beaches

Nauset Beach: at the end of Main Street in East Orleans. On the ocean side; big waves good for body surfing.

Skaket Beach: West Road off Route 6A, on Cape Cod Bay. At low tide you can walk out a mile.

Pilgrim Lake: Monument Road off Main Street in East Orleans. Plus many ponds around town.

Hiking & Biking

Orleans has many lovely hiking trails operated by nonprofit organizations and the town.
