We loved our stay at this perfect house. It was so conveniently located 5 minutes to all the restaurant, bars and amenities in Truckee, 15 minutes to Northstar, minutes to all kinds of nature trails. It was dog friendly with a big, fenced-in yard and lots of trails right out back. Our pup loved experiencing the snow for the first time and making friends with the dog-mayor of the neighborhood, Chico, who showed him around!! We had everything we needed to cook at home, as well. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. At night we cozied up in the big, open family room and watched movies. When severe weather impacted our stay, the owners were so understanding and accommodating for which we are very grateful. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!
The cottage was a great place. We had a wonderful getaway with our family, just wish that it was longer. The place was sparsely furnished with amenities however. All the furniture was comfortable, especially the beds. The kitchen was a bit small but okay. What really worked for us was the fenced yard for our Labrador. I would definitely stay here again. The gas fireplace in the living room did not work and that was a bit of a drag as it would have helped with the ambiance.
We spent Christmas at this comfortable cabin. Weather was cold but always warm inside. We cooked Christmas dinner which is always a challenge at altitude but the kitchen had all the equipment. However nothing in the way of dry goods like herbs and spices. Beds were very comfortable except the 2 bunk beds not so much. Everything went smoothly except when we contacted the managers to get permission to enter early because of severe weather, they never returned my call. Nice, enclosed back yard. Close to Truckee, about 20 minutes drive to Lake. Enjoyed our stay - thank you.
My family was attending a wedding and needed a place that would also accommodate dogs. The big fenced yard was perfect! We only stayed two nights but enjoyed the comfortable accommodations, large couch, stocked kitchen items, and nice deck.
Clean house in a quiet neighborhood; the house is old, floors squeak, lots of spiders, beds are not the most. comfortable, but it's functional. I would not rent this house again.
Home was clean and comfortable. Out dog really enjoyed the large well fenced back yard and the kids had fun with the bunk beds. When I forgot the pass code at the front door, I made one call and was responded to quickly (I had found the code in my email box but appreciated the call back). Thanks for the fine weekend visit
