"Sunset Reverie” is located in Sunset Marina, a gated community located on Stock Island right off the entrance to Key West. The location is a great balance between being secluded in a private community yet still only a short drive into the best of Old Town Key West. With your rental home at Sunset Marina you’ll have plenty of space for parking, both covered garage space and visitor space, as well as access to the private waterfront community pool and spa.
***This home is available for lease by the month, in accordance with local ordinances strictly enforced by the City of Key West. The minimum lease is for 27 nights in February and for 29 nights during any other period.
THE LIVING AREA...
This distinctive 1658 square foot condo is an end unit with commanding views of the sunsets over the Florida Bay. It has been meticulously designed and furnished to a level you will seldom see in a vacation home, with thoughtful details everywhere you look. There’s plenty of room for everyone, with a large main balcony, open living area with a huge flat screen TV and separate bar area. The kitchen is completely equipped, with everything a good chef would need to prepare the most ambitious meals and even room for some sous-chefs.
The master bedroom with a king bed faces the waterfront, with one French door to the main balcony facing the ocean and another to a more private waterfront balcony. The master bathroom has twin vanities, oversized shower and separate Jacuzzi and tub. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and sliding doors to a waterfront balcony. The third bedroom features twin beds that convert to a king and sliding doors to a balcony, with direct access to the second bathroom.
THE HEATED COMMUNITY POOL & JACUZZI...
The community pool area is a beautiful place to spend the day, with its setting right on the waterfront facing the marina and Florida Bay beyond. You can swim in the pool or relax in the oversized Jacuzzi. There are plenty of chaises and sitting areas and a cabana for your convenience.

Wouldn't it be convenient to be able to walk right downstairs to your boat? Ask about the assigned boat slip right downstairs from the condo that is available at additional cost.

This was our return trip. Having rented this property in 2015-2016, we scheduled this property because we were so pleased with our prior visit and it coincided with our extended visit change to the first two months of 2017. This is a property to live in. It will take some time (4.0 miles)to get to the local restaurants in "old town", but the serenity of the location becomes a preference, not an issue. The layout encourages visitors; we had multiple couples come for short stays during our time there. "Amazing" was frequently a comment. The property was well maintained and the pool this year was warmer than last year; a welcome item during this warmer than last year. This property is managed by Last Key Realty. Our direct contact, Amanda was onsite frequently and was right there when something was needed. She is a pleasure to work with and a real asset of Last key. They were very responsive and went above and beyond in dealing with any request. We had the property cleaned during our stay by Anna both years. She is outstanding. There are many savory restaurants (Flaming Buoy, Michael's, Blue Heaven, and Santiago's Bodega). We enjoyed our friends and weekly picnics at Fort Zachary Taylor state park. Last Key's maintenance group took care of anything which needed attention. Though, thankfully, we had very few reasons to call on them. We utilized Last Key's concierge service who arranged for dinners, shows and getting us into difficult booking situations. This location became our home away from home with kitchen capabilities; office, electronics and even underground personal parking; a treasured item in Key West. Enjoyed it so much, we have made a deposit on a longer stay in 2018.
We had a fabulous stay and plan to return. The internet photos were spot on, if anything, we found the rooms larger than we expected and the green room was far more beautiful (the green was quite nice in-person) than we expected. The location was a few simple miles outside of downtown, the layout and amenities were as noted. We love to cook and found it a well appointed kitchen. The layout of the condo flowed nicely. We had 3 different couples come, each on a separate occasions, and everyone felt comfortable and completely spoiled by the accommodations and view. The property is well maintained including the pool and the spa. Admittedly, we would have preferred the pool temperature to be a tad higher but, it was sparkling clean. The cleaners which are available to clean the unit as often as you wish, did a good job. We enjoyed local kayaking, fishing, restaurants (Michael's, Cafe Sole, Roostica's, La de Da, etc.), the Butterfly Conservatory, Fort Zachory Taylor Beach, the Little Whitehouse, Hemmingway's home and the Tropical Garden Park. We would recommend this condo and HomeAway without hesitation to friends and family. Speaking of HomeAway, we were incredibly appreciative of their team, especially Jamie, Alex, Cathy and Valerie. They were always available and most responsive. Jamie was our primary contact. He was super! The concierge service (Valerie) were very helpful in selecting fun activities and making reservations for events and restaurants. We truly had a wonderful time made all the better by our stay in this remarkable 'home away from home'!
This is a wonderful and beautifully furnished condo in a very well maintained gated community right on a marina. There are balconies everywhere and water views from all bedrooms. The location is perfect, with easy access to downtown Key West, with all its crazy activities, but private and tranquil once back home at the condo. During our stay we took in the Duval street scene and enjoyed many of the restaurants, sights and activities when on the go, and the pool and spa and walks on the beautiful marina boardwalk when at home. We all enjoyed the magnificent water views from this top floor condo, not least the amazing sunsets.
Key West is the perfect vacation spot, with all the downtown restaurants, activities and sights. The condo is very well equipped, spacious and beautifully furnished, located in a well maintained gated community with dedicated parking and elevator, right on Sunset Marina and, being a penthouse, the water views are breathtaking. We made it a tradition to enjoy the fabulous sunsets over a drink on the balcony every day!!
