This house is perfect for large groups, comfortably fitting up to 14 people, especially for family parties and reunions.
Mill Basin is one of the most expensive areas in Brooklyn, having the largest one family homes in the NYC.
This home hosted my 50th birthday celebration. The homeowner was thorough in researching who I was and the nature of my event. He stayed in constant contact and communication throughout the entire process; very accommodating. Nothing is small in this home, everything is massively impressive. The jaws of my guests dropped as they walked through the door into the great room. My personal chef enjoyed working in the kitchen and using the high quality appliances. This home has so many places to relax and unwind, it's perfect for large extended families and social events. I am already directing family and friends to this home and will definitely use it again in the very near future. A true hidden gem in Brooklyn, NY.
This house was perfect for my family's Christmas Vacation. We had a large group and everyone was able to find their own space but we were still able to come together as family without stepping on or over one another. We did have some issues with the plumbing (hence the 4 stars rating) in which the owner addressed immediately. Other than that the house served it purpose well. The extra queen sized airbeds came in handy for the kids to use and there was more than enough space to choose from in the house to put them.
The kitchen was the best room in the house. Lots of space to move around especially on Christmas Day when preparing dinner.
The neighborhood was very quite with lots of shopping within a 20 minute or less drive.
Overall we truly enjoyed this house and its owner Peter, who checked in from time to time to ensure that everything was okay. I would definitely rent this home again and recommend it to friends.
Our group of eight adults and three children chose this house for a recent family get together because it appeared to be large and comfortable while still being close enough to Manhattan to enjoy the city attractions. Our expectations were easily satisfied in all respects.
The owner, Peter, was very hospitable, calling us immediately on arrival and several times thereafter to make sure that everything was going well for us.
The house itself is comfortable and spacious and pleasantly decorated. The neighborhood feels friendly and safe and is only a few minutes away from all the restaurants and shopping centers you could hope for.
Getting into Manhattan could be time-consuming depending on the time of day, traffic and the like, but how many 4,500 square foot houses can you find for rent closer to Manhattan, and, if you did find any, what would they cost to rent? Besides, not everybody needs to go to Manhattan. Access to Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and Long Island is quick and easy from this house, and there are plenty of great things to do in all of these places.
We enjoyed our stay in this house and hope to be able stay there again in the future.
Large home with (4) bathrooms, (5) bedrooms with (6) beds that could sleep (2) each plus a 3rd floor kids nook with (2) single beds and a double mattress on the floor. We had (8) people and could have slept 6+ more with ease. Everyone had private space and plenty of room to get together. The large dining room table made it convenient to entertain guests that joined us for an evening. The property owner was very approachable, responsive and good to work with. No issues came up during our 6 day visit. We would stay here again.
the owners were very quick to respond all the time . the house was very clean and well stocked .great stay . the area is nice to walk
Really enjoyed our stay. Our host, Peter, was very attentive to whatever needs were presented thus making any potential glitches unnoticeable. The house was quite large to accommodate our large group and though it gave us a lot of space for resting and relaxing it also brought us together in an intimate atmosphere due to how the dining room and kitchen were set up. I would recommend this listing to anyone looking for those comfortable qualities. Others might be drawn to the chef's kitchen with high end appliances but I especially liked the dining room table which can seat up to 18 people. There are a few good restaurants nearby and we never really did have to cook a meal. I would recommend this place to others who travel with or as a larger group and want a very excellent place to stay.
