Cabin was great. Just didn't have enough parking .
We loved the cabin. Very well supplied for anything or anyone. Very comfortable. We have 2 30 foot trailers so not enough parking
My boyfriend and myself absolutely loved our stay at the South Boardman Cabin in the forest! We will definitely be back!!
Peace and quiet in the woods
Clean and well-maintained. Owner was a kind man who was easy to contact. It was the first snow of the year and he shoveled, provided dry wood for a fire and had music playing when we arrived. Trails into the woods are located in his backyard. Had a great vacation.
Cozy cabin in the woods
We stayed for two nights, and though the weather was rainy and we weren't able to take advantage of the fire pit, it was still a great time. There is also an ATV path behind the cabin, which we just walked. The listing was entirely accurate and the property was well maintained and clean, and had all major amenities. We were in contact with the owner shortly after arriving and he advised us of features of the property.
Note that due to the secluded nature of the cabin you will likely not get great cell service, at least on T-mobile and AT&T, which is what we used. We were mainly in the area to sample breweries and wineries, and the cabin is about half an hour from Traverse City and an hour from Bellaire so there was no shortage of them. Overall we had a great time and definitely plan on returning in the near future.
BEAUTIFUL Cabin, private and serene!!
If you are looking for a beautiful cabin, secluded and serene...this is most definitely your place! My Husband, myself and another couple took our ORV's up north for a weekend of riding the state trails. We had such a great time we are already planning our trip for next year!! Mike is an extremely gracious host and ensures that you have what you need for a wonderful and relaxing stay including leaving a map to the trails. The State ORV trails are right out the back door, we rode 100 miles in two days, it was an incredible time!! The cabin is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G....spacious and comfortable. I think my favorite was the large tub/shower combo in the bathroom for a long soak after a day of riding the trails. The loft bedroom upstairs had two of the most comfortable twin beds I have ever slept in and the main bedroom had a very large closet and comfortable queen bed. The washer and dryer on site came in very handy. There is a convenience store/gas station a short drive away and a full grocery, family dollar, etc in Kalkaska which was about a 10 min drive. There is also a restaurant a few miles from the cabin that served a very good breakfast the morning we left, otherwise, we just cooked at the cabin in the well equipped kitchen or used the charcoal or gas grills that were provided. The fire pit outside was our favorite way to relax each evening while making smores and listening to music. I can't stress what a great weekend it was for us. Thank you Mike...we will certainly be back!!
Beautiful, peaceful, clean. Everything provided but food. Would definitely come back!!!
