My husband and I, our son and daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely rental. The views are beautiful, and the house itself is very accommodating. It affords comfortable beds, a well-appointed kitchen, and plenty of outdoor space. We enjoyed the quiet surroundings, and our grandchildren enjoyed exploring the "woods" -- a high priority for them. It's conveniently located in Maggie Valley with Waynesville nearby. I highly recommend it, and we have already talked about returning there.
My husband and I have been married for 12 years and have always looked for a vacation spot that we would want to return to year after year...this is it. The cabin is perfect, the owners really thought of everything. The outdoor space was a favorite and we can't wait to return in the spring/summer so we can spend hours on the back deck.
Maggie Valley is a quiet retreat. My husband said it feels like Gatlinburg years ago before it became so commercialized. Great local restaurants and quaint shops. We were only about a mile from the ski resort. Enjoyed a ride on the Blue Ridge parkway and spotted 6 elk! My kids were amazed!
Thank you for a great weekend!
Our stay at this cabin was top notch. The owners supplied so many extras. Or I should say they made it just perfect. The layout of the cabin is so function-able in the kitchen. We would stay here again that is a definite. Thank you to the owners as well for emails and showing interest in those that would be renting their cabin.
The place is beautiful. The drawbacks that kept it from being a 5 star was the water pressure was very low. It was almost impossible to take a shower-very low pressure in the master shower. Then the sinks usually just had a trickle of water, so washing your hands or shaving was sometimes a problem. It wasn't every time but almost every time. Also, I called and asked if it was 2.5 baths or 3 full baths because the website says both, and was told it was 3 full baths which is not correct. The picture on the website shows an image stating this is the 3rd full bath, but that is the laundry room-not a bath at all-that is false advertisement and should be corrected. The WIFI was slow also sometimes. These were all things that would make it better, but it was a beautiful place-a little hard to get to( the last half mile dirt) road-but beautiful, and close to everything that the mountains have to offer.
Having spent many hours searching vacation rentals in the area we finally decided on this one and after arriving and entering the property feel we made exactly the right choice. The house was very clean, well stocked and spacious. The balcony view was amazing and allowed us to have great relaxation in the setting sun. Sitting at the fire pit and making s'mores is a must! Having spent time hiking in the smokys, visiting Asheville and the Biltmore estate it was always a pleasure knowing we would be returning back to this house. Only my husband and I stayed here, but it would me more than accommodating to large families.
Beautiful home; very well cared for. Wonderful outdoor space with multiple decks to enjoy the views. It feels like you're in a treehouse. Outdoor heater works very well and the gas firepit is a nice, easy touch for stargazing on the lower deck at night. The wood stove kept the house very toasty for us and we loved the open floor plan. The murphy bed was surprisingly comfortable and there was plenty of floor space in that bedroom for a pack & play. We hope to return to enjoy again in the future!
