Surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, this charming guesthouse, located approx. 75 feet from the main house, features unique European handcrafted ironwork, hand-hewn doors and comfortable furnishings. Here you can experience the Napa Valley as you never have before, amidst 40 secluded acres of beautiful woods and rolling vineyards, with sweeping views of the valley from a breathtaking perch on Diamond Mountain just above Calistoga. Even though it may seem a long, windy three miles on the road to our property, once you arrive you will sense the calming force of a true mountain vineyard environment. The most common comments are 'how quiet it is up here' and 'it seems like we've been on a vacation far away from the Bay Area'. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Each of the surrounding towns offer unique dining and shopping experiences. Calistoga is just 10 minutes from here, St. Helena 15 min., Yountville 30 min. and Napa and Healdsburg 40 min. each. When on the property, take a hike on Cori's Loop that will wind from the Cottage through the upper and then lower vineyard and double back along the county road until your are back on our driveway. Either way you do it, it's a good workout. Our Lab, Sophie will surely accompany you and show you the way. And don't forget to look for 'diamonds'!
The home and homeowners could not have been nicer!
Big fans of this property and its classy and warm owners!
breathtaking views and property!
The property is amazing on top of Diamond Mountain in Calistoga. Quiet and peaceful, perfect getaway after a day in the vineyards. Open a bottle and sit out on the balcony to enjoy beautiful sunsets and views of the valley below. The owners are terrific, really nice people and very accomodating. Sophie, their black Lab, was also a huge plus to our visit!!!
Our week in this beautiful, clean and very well maintained house was terrific. The owners were very nice and we recommend you to visit. We drove about 45 minutes to Healdsburg
and the town has great restuarants especially Willie's. Also about half hour to St Helena
to the Farmstead Restuarant which is amazing. Close to Yountville for shopping and food
and to the Oxbow Market in Napa. lots of wineries in all the neighborhoods
looking forward to going back to this property next year
We loved our stay at SummitVine. The property is up a winding road in Calistoga. It has the feeling of Tuscany, with no neighbors in sight. The rolling hills and trees make this spot quite tranquil. Both bedrooms had comfortable beds with fresh linens and ceiling fans. The bathroom is bright and clean with great water pressure. Our favorite places in St. Helena are close by. We enjoyed a dip in the pool and played with the owner's friendly black Lab. This property has everything you need to relax. The owners are fantastic! They're nearby but not intrusive. They have made this a work of art- from the architecture, to the gardens, to the views! My daughter and I enjoyed our time relaxing here. One of the best properties in Napa!
We had a fabulous time in Napa. Michael and Susan were perfect hosts; they were very friendly and concerned with our comfort and offered lots of suggestions of things to do. Sophie, their lovely black lab, was also very friendly and liked to come visit us. The property and house were gorgeous, and the views were stunning. We like to cook, so we took advantage of the great kitchen and spent our evenings enjoying Napa wines and the beautiful sunset. We felt so privileged that we could spend some time in such an amazing place. It felt a bit like we were Provence but without the language barrier. We highly recommend this as a perfect peaceful getaway. We can't wait to return.
This property is exquisite, inside and out. Driving up a quaint, winding road to the property you are transported from the bustle of the highway to the heavens of wine country. Situated almost 2,000 feet above the valley, you are welcomed by vineyards maintained by the owners and what certainly seems to be a a portrait of the Italian countryside taken from a magazine.
The grounds, meticulously maintained, have assorted herbs, lavender plants as well as olive & apple trees, to name just a few. As we make your way onto the property, we were greeted by the owners almost immediately, along with their incredibly loving dog. They were prompt to show us the details that make this home spectacular including their European-style windows and generous bath. Being a professional eater, and amateur cook, the kitchen is a foodies dream. Cook with views that you can't imagine, sip wine from a local vineyard while dipping bread in olive oil from the trees just outside your door. It really doesn't get better than this.
The bathroom is luxurious with dual shower heads and a deep soaking tub that even a grown man can fit into comfortably. The shower has adjustable temperature control to make sure you know exactly how warm you like your water. The bedrooms, outfitted with premium linens, are well appointed and large. The closets are deep to make plenty of room for everything you need.
The house is outfitted with wireless internet and cable television and both were 100% reliable, even though you are on top of a mountain. This was perfect as I own a business and need to be connected as often as possible. Don't worry about cell service, I was on LTE the entire time!
On top of the incredible views and well appointed accommodations, the owners made us feel right at home. While busy with their day-to-day, they always took the time to come out and say hello and answer my endless questions about this stunning property.
Come here, enjoy the view, drink the wine and take a slice of the European lifestyle home with you!
