Classic New Orleans home.
Nice, two-bedroom house in Riverbend/Uptown area of New Orleans (off of Carrollton, near St. Charles Ave. and streetcar!). Lots of natural light and space, high ceilings, charm, color, and comfort.
Nice, comfortable home in safe area of New Orleans. Close to river and levee, transportation, walk to shops, restaurants, and bars, or jump on the streetcar and head to the Quarter.
Two bedrooms -- double bed in one bedroom, futon in the other, and the sofa in living room is a sleeper. Bathroom has clawfoot tub and a shower.
Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves throughout the house.
Groups welcome (house can sleep 6+ comfortably), big backyard (pets welcome), house has everything you need and then some.
Great old New Orleans neighborhood. Four blocks from streetcar line that'll take you to French Quarter, aquarium, museums, and more. Audubon Park is two miles away. Two blocks form Oak Street, with lots of restaurants, shops, bars. Very walkable neighborhood in safe location. House is also close to universities.

Not really THRILLED with this place. It felt a little dirty and awkward, like we were staying in someone's home while they were away
Location was great, price was very good. The home is cool and comfortable. We are a married couple, but 4 could stay here, if you don't mind a futon.
Overall, on a scale of terrible to incredibly awesome, I would give it a meh.
With a little work, it could be really great!
Although not our "HOME", it was a good experience to have a house to LIVE in. Spacious and having a kitchen to use as we do at home. Having the convenience of making coffee and breakfast and sitting at leisure in the morning is a great way to wake up. The living room furniture is uncomfortable and difficult to sit and watch TV. The yard was wonderful to have as a safety factor for our Labrador. It was relaxing to walk into a house and privacy at the end of the day as opposed to a hotel.
We really enjoyed staying in this shotgun style bungalow - very long and narrow authentic New Orleans charm. The house was spacious and the double bed was comfortable and clean. The couches in living room were a little lumpy, but that added to the charm. We really liked the front porch swing and especially the fully fenced back yard was great for a pet and sitting outside each evening. A short walk to Carrollton Ave. where you can hop the historic streetcars which are such a blast to take to the French quarter. Also 2 really good restaurants for the money on Carrollton are O'Henrys (eat up on 2nd floor deck) and Lebanon's Café. Don't miss the walkway/bikeway on top of the Mississippi river embankment very close by.
Overall this home was a very good value and we recommend it.
