Renovated, sweet one-bedroom condo. The 500 square foot, 2nd floor apartment (that's a 1st floor in Europe) in an attractive brick building is in the very center of Boston's historic district on coveted Beacon Hill. Two blocks to the Boston Common and Public Garden! One block to the shops, boutiques and restaurants on Charles Street.
New kitchen, new bathroom, spacious bedroom, lofty ceilings and plenty of light from the tall windows make this place sparkle!
Quaint brick buildings, cobblestones and gas lamps, restaurants, cafes, fabulous bakeries and cute boutiques - this is your neighborhood. Leave your car behind and walk to everything!
With its attention to detail and comfort, this condo will welcome you back after a busy day exploring all that Boston has to offer.
Start your day with a run along the river, then take in some history on the Freedom Trail. Head over to Newbury Street for serious shopping, and in the evening choose from dozens of restaurants ranging from cozy pubs to world renowned, or catch a show in the Theatre District - it is all within a few minutes scenic walk.

The Unique Benefits of this Condo: Location, location! Beacon Hill is the heart of this historic city, the most central location from which to explore the best of Boston. All the major tourist attractions are easily accessible, most of them within a short walk. At the same time, Beacon Hill is a real neighborhood with grocery stores, a bakery, a post office, as well as boutiques and cafes, where you will feel welcome and at home.
My husband and I hail from Ireland and France originally, and met as students at UC Berkeley.
We have lived in Boston for almost 3 decades, and absolutely love the city.
Owner purchased this condo in 1996
Boston is beautiful, historic, the most European of American cities. It is very user-friendly, very walkable, and offers a wonderful array of activities and destinations within the city itself - something to delight everyone.
The location could not be better. The condo was comfortable and well equipped. We loved the neighborhood and nearby restaurants. We especially liked Bin 26 Enoteca, an excellent wine bar with good food and half a block away. It was so enjoyable to walk through Boston Common and the Public Garden to go to many of our "bucket list" attractions. The photo of the exterior on the listing is of the Beacon Hill neighborhood, not the actual condo. This being said, I would highly recommend the condo and would stay here again.
The description of the condo as well as the previous reviews about how wonderful it was were all accurate. Caroline was fabulous to work with, very prompt and accommodating. The condo itself was lovely and absolutely perfect for our family of four. The location in Beacon Hill couldn't be beat. The only time we needed to take a taxi was to and from the airport. The proximity to Boston Commons was a lifesaver when the kids needed space to run. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about the condo, Caroline and our experience with both. We will certainly recommend this condo to friends who visit Boston as well as use it ourselves on our future trips.
We had a great stay ... Beacon Hill is a beautiful, historic area and the apartment is also a few hundred metres from the Common. Boston is not a massive city and we walked to all the main tourist areas / attractions. The apartment is well equipped ; we utilised the sofa bed in the main living area and the 4 of us a had a comfortable stay. It is up a flight of stairs ( US Floor 2, UK 1st Floor) so that may be a consideration for some. Plenty of communication with the owner..... our stay couldn't have been better.
Stayed 5 nights. Apartment is tastefully, elegantly furnished, yet comfortable, very clean and functional. Used the kitchen to prepare some meals (including pasta purchased in North End), had morning coffee with pastry in the living room. Close to Charles Street, Boston Common. MBTA "T" stations are Charles MGH (7 mins) and Park Street (10 minute walk through Boston Common). Perfect location for exploring Beacon Hill, Boston Common/Public Gardens, North End, Back Bay, museums, Cambridge - all short T rides away. There is a Whole Foods on Cambridge Street, about a ten minute walk. Of course restaurants and coffee shops on Charles Street. Great view of Beacon Hill brownstones out your window - you really feel like a Bostonian! Love the street lamps in the evening. Can't wait to come back. Perfect spot for couple or solo traveler. Caroline was very gracious and responsive throughout.
Enjoyable visit to Boston, everything was found to be as described. Owner attentive and quickly responsive to questions/issues. All basic supplies there for a comfortable stay. Occasional noise from upper and lower neighbors (they run a personal training class downstairs which starts early in the morning), but nothing overly bothersome to us since we got up early in the morning anyways. Excellent location, with very close proximity to Boston Commons, and within 1/2 hr walk to aquarium and children's museum.
This was our third HomeAway stay and Boston was probably the best of the three for the two of us. Dealing with the owner was pleasant and all our needs were taken care of efficiently. The two of us were perfectly comfortable with the home so much so that we felt like we were local residents of the area. The home is less than 50 feet from the main street (Charles) that is very popular with the locals. The street has numerous restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops (2 Starbucks) and stores along the "strip". The owners had a very nicely set up kitchen but the food on the street was so good that we ended up eating all our dinners out. We enjoyed Boston so much that we have been talking about returning there soon and if we do we will most likely try to get the same unit on Beacon Hill. It's so centrally located that other than a Hop-on/Hop off tour to get acquainted with the area we were able to walk to the museums, tour Fenway Park, see the wharf area and the Cambridge area where Harvard is located among several other sites. Plus, if you walk maybe 200 feet from the condo you will be in a fantastic park. If you go in the winter bring your ice skates.
We would highly recommend this home away from home to anyone interested in the Boston area. Thank you Caroline for making our stay so pleasant and enjoyable. We hope to deal with you again in the near future.

At this time, Boston does not impose a tax on short-term vacation rentals. If Massachusetts, or the City of Boston legislate a new tax requirement, then the new tax will be added to your rate.
