About Bruce or Annie Russell

Hi, We are active folks that love to travel, bike, hike, etc. The Cabin has been our nest that we built a few years ago as a second home. Our RV has seen us a lot lately. It continues to be enjoyed by us and our family including kids and grand kids. We decided to have others enjoy it as well.

Why Bruce or Annie Russell chose Front Range Colorado

We chose this unique location because of its central location to recreation, including skiing, hiking, fishing and rafting, and the city. We fell in love with its special setting on the River and built the Cabin as a second home. When we are not traveling visiting kids and grand kids or for business or pleasure we hang our hat here. It lends itself to guests that don't get hang out in the mountains. Skiing, hiking biking, rafting, fishing all here. So enjoy.

What makes this cabin unique

The LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION is so amazing. A few minutes one way to Denver, a few minutes the other to ski areas. Hiking, biking, rafting, dining, shopping...its all so close. And easy to get to I-70 in 2 minutes.

And of course.... Nature is all around. Beauty is all around. Mountains are all around. History is all around. The Cabin can be a blend of mountain stream side relaxation and recreation or an urban experience. When you get here you will understand!

280+ SUNSHINE days... We are in the middle of the great outdoors in a Cabin that is a pretty nice place to hang out relaxing all day and all night in all the seasons. Or in just a few minutes be hiking, skiing, biking, rafting... etc etc. The Cabin is just short of the 8000 ft elevation so in the Summer the evenings are cool. Bring a lite jacket just in case you want to sit by the stream at night. In the Winter, if the sun is out we can bask in the Sun having our mid morning coffee on the front porch. Colorado climate is typically dry and sunny.

Another great visit

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time that we've stayed at this cabin. This visit was as great as the last. Bruce and Annie are extremely accommodating and responsive, although we've never had to contact them while we were there because the cabin is so well maintained. It's the perfect mix of a rustic location that still provides access to the comforts of home (internet, satellite, restaurants, etc.). We can't wait to come back.

The perfect honeymoon!

  • 5 of 5

Bruce and Annie are awesome and amazing and if you even think of renting from anyone else you're crazy!!! The cabin was beautiful and bright, they provided us a surprisingly thorough welcome package containing everything from instructions on how to use the hot tub to the best way to build a fire (both of which are amazing and I highly recommend). When it turned out that there was an issue with the booking for the next stop on our honeymoon and we needed to stay an extra day there was no hassle or anything, they were immediately accommodating. From sending us coupons to a local pizza place (which was excellent), to filling us in on there being a snow sculpture competition not too far away (which was also excellent), their attention to detail and desire to make our honeymoon perfect was more than we could have ever hoped for.

Thank you Bruce and Annie for making our trip to the mountains beautiful and comfortable. You guys are the best! ^_^

Charming, clean, beautiful setting with all the amenities!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 5 nights over New Years 2017 and had everything we could possibly need. The owners were very helpful in our dilemma with blizzard conditions as 2 of our group (both 19) had to make their way to the airport on their own. They were super in communications with them as we were concerned for their safety. All went well and I can't say enough about how perfect their place was for our family of 6. We look forward to returning again someday!!

Awesome stay

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was a perfect retreat for our girls' trip celebrating a 40th birthday. The owner was attentive and even started a fire in the fireplace for us before our arrival. We didn't get to enjoy all the amenities the cabin has to offer, so we may just have to visit again soon!

Beautiful mountain cabin with great location

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is in a great location...close to Idaho Springs with easy access to I-70. The scenery was beautiful and we loved the bridge over the bubbling creek. The snowboarders in our group were happy to use the hot tub every night and ease aching muscles. Loved the wood fireplace! Bruce & Annie were great to deal with & communication was great! I've stayed in other rentals and you arrive after a long travel day only to find out you need to go to the store to buy toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc... :( Not here!! Bruce & Annie had it all!! No midnight grocery-run needed! All-in-all, we had a great trip and would recommend this cabin to everyone!
