Historians will adore this beautifully restored 17th century agricultural possessio perched on a terraced hillside in the heart of Mallorcas Sierra de Tramuntana range. It maintains its own crop of citrus fruits and olives and is surrounded by hectares of orange and olive groves, fig trees, carob trees and vines.
As well as 1,300 square meters of pristine living space, which has been artfully designed by architect Jose Garcia Ruiz, this exclusive 7-bedroom property boasts a chapel, tafona (oil mill), a flour mill and other original outbuildings. Every detail of luxury living has been considered and modern conveniences have been seamlessly interwoven with original features. Outdoors and indoors, the spectacular views across the mountains prevails and there are plenty of places designed specifically for resting awhile and losing yourself in the panorama. After a refreshing dip, settle in a padded sun-lounger on the wooden deck bordering the pool and just absorb the peace and quiet.
Indoors, exposed beams and natural stone walls serve as a reminder of the buildings history, while smooth white decor and simple, stylish furniture create a loft-like living experience. The air-conditioned TV lounge with floor to ceiling windows and an ergonomically designed sitting area is the ideal place to retreat to when the sun gets too hot. An elegant dining table for 10 served by a modern kitchen makes entertaining easy, or you may be tempted to gather with friends or family on the sunny terrace and dine al fresco under the stars. The villa is softly lit at night and enjoying the deep peace and soft mountain air of a Mallorcan summer evening is a lovely way to end the day.
Once youre ready for a good nights sleep you can retire to one of seven luxurious bedrooms, all with access to deluxe bathrooms. Soft white linens and plump pillows promise rest and relaxation, and you can choose from a range of queen size, double and twin beds.
After youve topped up your relaxation reserves and absorbed as much as you can of the mountainside tranquility and beautiful gardens, you might want to travel further afield. The picturesque old town of Palma, with its lively bars, cafs, boutiques and restaurants is just a 30 minute drive and there are plenty of festivals and events throughout the year to keep you entertained. Activities and excursions can also be arranged at extra cost. The nearest airport is Palma Son Sant Joan (31.5km).
