About Caroline Hunt

I'm a Brit, I fell in love with St Valery and bought this cottage in 1995. Then I moved to New York but couldn't possibly imagine selling the cottage. I wish I was there now. Now I'm stuck with Brexit and a mad, bad President - couldn't be worse.........................

Caroline Hunt purchased this cottage in 1995

Why Caroline Hunt chose Saint-Valery-sur-Somme

Very close to everything in St Valery. Shops, restaurants and Sunday Market at bottom of the road.

BUT, it's still very quiet.

What makes this cottage unique

I'm certain you will be very comfortable in the cottage.

Charmante maison de pêcheur

  • 5 of 5

Charmante maison de pêcheur très bien située dans le centre ville de St Valéry.

La deuxième Caroline, votre contact sur place, est disponible, de bons conseils et d'une extrême gentillesse.

Nous a un passé un très bon séjour grâce à elle!

Great time

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in St Valery. Very kind and helpful welcome. The cottage is adorable and cosy. We were three. We would warmly recommend to our friend renting this accommodation. We had lovely bike rides. The "Baie de Somme" walk was also a very good time. The second bed could have been too small for a tall person. But it was fine for my 166 cm daughter. We will keep a very happy memory of our vacation.

Beautiful fishermans cottage st valery

  • 5 of 5

Typical french cottage in the very centre of st valery fisher mans quarter. Beautiful clean well furnished and homely. Met by a Madame Caroline very friendly for a quick tour of this extremely well appointed home. Did not have a holiday home feel but someone's pride and joy. Stairs are steep not for the infirm but we are in our 60's and managed just fine. 2nd bed small adult but I'm 5'2" and was fine. Have to park up the hill in the public car park but everything is on your doorstep. June is the best time to go all the poppies are out. Little train to le crotoy wonderful as ever and lots of walking tours across the bay. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay even the french neighbours were saying hello to us .

beaucoup de charme

  • 4 of 5

maison très agréable, bien pourvue de tout le nécessaire, linge de maison de très bonne qualité

située dans un quartier plein de charme (petites maisons de pécheurs).

Le seul défaut est l'absence de commerçants à proximité!
