Perfect Nice Apartment

I shared the apartment with a high school friend. We stayed for 9 nights and loved everything. Since we are 2 females, the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was a perfect fit. The apartment is spacious, newly painted, clean and nicely decorated. The location is wonderful as well. We had many lunches on the Rue de France, one block in from the Mediterranean.

Breakfasts and dinners were on the spacious balcony. The bus stop is almost in front of the building. We were able to travel to Monte Carlo, the Ventimiglia market, and Cap Ferrat very easily. Walking to the old town was easy as well. The kitchen is small but very functional. Many food stores as only blocks away, including a butcher and cheese shop. Our cooking only consisted of cafe au lait in the morning and salads and quiches, etc. for dinner. We tried pain de chocolate from each of the local boulangeries every morning. All were excellent. We found the price of the apartment reasonable as well. Check in was easy, Segoline was extremely helpful. This was a wonderful vacation.

Very noisy & outdated furniture & construction mess

We stayed in this apartment during march 2017. This was our 4th visit of south of France in past two years, beautiful area for sure. The apartment has a nice sea view but unfortunately that was the only good thing with this apartment as we had several issues. Traffic noise was a big issue. We were surprised older reviews claimed it was ok. To make it worst, there was construction on unit next door which added more noise and dirty construction material in the common hallway (not what you like to deal with in your holiday). Owner never informed us on this issue in advance. We also found the furniture to be very old but usable. Also, there is not any private car parking and closest parking garage was far away (street parking was impossible). It is not very close to center as we thought, it took us about 45-60 minutes round trip walk to restaurants and shops in city center. Interestingly enough, the apartment did not have basic supplies such as toilet paper, soap, etc. Internet was functional part of the time with spotty service. we found owner (segolene) to be friendly when we checked in. However, she did not respond to our phone call regarding these issues while we were staying there.

Owner's Response: Dear Sir, We are very sorry and surprised that the apartment did not fulfill your expectations . In fact it is the first time that we receive a bad comment . - About the traffic noise , the promenade des Anglais is a large avenue in front of the sea , and we cannot do much about it , anyhow in the main bedroom with sea view there has double windows which stops the noise . Regarding the noise from the construction next door , we knew that the apartment has been sold recently and that the new owner is remodeling the apartment , not much we can do to avoid this inconvenient only if they do not respect working hours . - About the old furniture , In fact there are some antique pieces of furniture in the apartment , sorry if you do not appreciate this kind of furniture , but there are on the photos on our listing , nothing we hide ! the rest of the furniture such as sofa , dining table ,chairs , beds, linen etc have been bought new a year ago ! - Parking garage : the apartment is located in a building from mid XXth Century , like most building built at this period in France there is no garage in the building. The nearest public parking is about 10 minute walk on the promenade from the apartment, but then again our listing does not include a parking . - Paper toilet and soap : There was one new pack of 6 rolls toilet paper in the bathroom cupboard and hand soap, enough for 3 days. For shampoo and shower soap it is at your own charge ... - I ve never received your phone call during your stay..sorry. I always answer to my guest, it is my priority.There is a notice in the flat with my phone number and my email; They can always join me 24h/24h. I know that it is important to have a contact when we are in a foreign contry. I wish you a nice summer time and hope you will be back in our beautifull city of Nice !

Perfect Nice Apartment

We were off-season (end of October) visitors to Nice and could not have been more pleased with our accommodations. Our three night stay was much too short for this lovely flat. For future travelers, the location is perfect. We walked easily about and found markets for our provisions close by. Easy access to the beach (yes, we were still swimming at this late date), bike rentals (did not use), and of course the Promenade. We walked to the train station (20 minutes) though used a cab with our luggage.

The flat is very spacious, well provisioned and clean. If anything, the apartment is more beautiful in person. Having two bedrooms and two bathrooms made it very comfortable for the four adults in our group. The rooms are spacious and perfectly appointed ( many of the furniture items I would be happy to see in my own home!) The kitchen seems to have everything one needs and some extras that I appreciated such as dish soap, trash bags, coffee filters, basic seasonings. The apartment is further provisioned with recommendations for the area, a small collection of books, and beach chairs. The building is secure and nicely maintained.

Of course the view is the spectacular part that sets the apartment over the top. The apartment has double glass doors that help with the noise, metal shutters for privacy and light, and awnings to provide shade. There were times when the traffic noise was loud, but I did not find my sleep to be interrupted. Plan enough time in your itinerary to just sit and enjoy the view!

I had prompt, courteous and professional interactions with Segolene and the owner. We communicated in English without any problem. Our rental was a bit last minute on our end and I was traveling so not readily available, but Segolene was fantastic to work with and she provided me with all the information I needed.

We truly hope to be able to return and stay longer in the future.

Very nice and stylish. Spectacular terraces

We stayed in the apartment for 2 weeks from the July 23rd – August 6st. There are a lot of things to say about this apartment. The apartment has a very clean and minimalistic style and is very well decorated and very stylish. The apartment is also functional and has a lot of free space which is very nice. The terraces is outstanding, there are sunbeds, lounge area and dinner table. We often eat our dinner at the terraces because no restaurant I Calvi can match this view. The view from the terraces is also spectacular, there is a free view to the water, beach and mountains. We have never stayed in an apartment similar to this and I would recommend it to anybody who would like to stay in calvi. The family who owned the apartment was very nice and helpful.

Beautiful apartment, perfect location, highly recommend!

This apartment was perfect for our family of 5. It is located right on the Promenade des Anglais with many cafes nearby. Bus station is very close. The building is secure and well maintained. I was worried there might be noise since it was right on the Pomenade des Anglais but there are double sliding doors so noise is minimal and was never a problem, and oh the view!!! Amazing to wake up every morning to that incredible view!! The apartment is nicely decorated and well stocked. Very highly recommend. We would definately stay here again.
