The location is the best Austin has to offer for those that want to be walking distance to all of the arts and entertainment, dining and shopping, while being able to retreat in the privacy of an urban oasis.
In addition to the vibrant Soco area there are always festivals, concerts and marathons in the immediate location. ACL music festival and SXSW are within 5 to 10 minutes away. Hike and bike trails, kayaking and sculling on Lady Bird Lake, bat watching on South Congress bridge. Visit the State Capital, the museums, the second street shopping district. Enjoy the nightlife in the warehouse and sixth street districts. Catch a performance at the new Long Center for Performing Arts. Swim in our beloved spring fed pools - Stacy pool located in Travis Heights, Deep Eddy and Barton Springs.
Michelle has a beautiful guest house and spacious outdoor living area, the perfect place to call home for a few nights. Walking distance to South Congress Ave gave us access to some great restaurants without having to worry about parking. I look forward to staying here on our next Austin visit.
We had a fabulous time!
This property was to die for!
Close to all the attractions that Austin has to offer.
We loved the space! Perfect for 2. The space is cozy and so comfortable. Decked out with nice touches: bathrobes, hairdryer, iron and a VERY comfortable bed. We spent time relaxing outside on the great deck furniture and hammocks. Michelle was very helpful in recommending nearby restaurants and music. Be sure to check out the Continental Club on South Congress.
Second stay and will stay again next year.
This sweet place is centrally located, way more charming than a hotel, and has all the amenities necessary for a holiday. It's very clean, quite, and updated. We will definitely be back! Thank you!
This property was fantastic and its location can't be beat! It's a quick walk from South Congress Ave. but is far enough away that it's peaceful and relaxing and you don't hear any noise from traffic or people over on South Congress Ave.
The outdoor area is very peaceful and a great spot to relax and take a nap or read a book. The living space of the guest house was very comfortable and had all of the amenities you could need. The outdoor setting and garden environment make you forget that you're staying in downtown Austin, but there are plenty of great shops and restaurants within walking distance or a short drive.
We will be planning to stay here again for any future visits to Austin, and I would recommend this property to anyone who's planning a visit to Austin.
This downtown property is two blocks from S. Congress or (SoCo) just behind the St. Cecilia Hotel. Walk to shopping, restaurants and live music. It's also just a half mile to downtown, 6th street and the Convention Center where a lot of the SXSW activities are located. The Long Center for performing arts is also walkable by less than 10 minutes. If you like to walk or jog you can reach the hike and bike trail or 'Lady Bird Lake' in just 5 minutes. Barton Springs swimming pool is a 10 minute drive, well worth it even if you don't want to swim! Across from the spring is Zilker Park where the famous Austin City Limits (ACL) music festival is located. There is plenty to do within walking distance or a short cab ride to all the popular spots in Austin from this property.

Golf: Lions Municiple Golf Course is approximately 5 miles away and is a public golf course.
