Far enough from the hustle and bustle of town to give seclusion but close enough for food and shopping. Very clean and plenty of games and entertainment. Would LOVE to go back, only suggestion would be a cleaner hot tub-our dip didn't last long because the water didn't seem or smell too clean.
The place was beautiful but pretty dirty.. food was left in the fridge since 2013 and the note on the fridge stated to think of other guest and throw anything away that is bad but since 2013 !! You would think the maid would do that. Food left under the bed, pop tarts, old sock chip wrappers etc. Lamp shades very dusty . I called to make sure they would have fire wood and propane and when we got there.. Nothing!! They did bring some but after we got some fire wood already. Again the place and view absolutely amazing.. Just might think of a new cleaning service or maybe check on them every now and then just to make sure they keep doing a good job. The creak and lake was so beautiful and we loved fishing, looking at the beautiful stars in the night sky.. house are pretty close to you but you still feel like you are all alone..
This cabin was priceless, so clean, so stocked, so enjoyable....did not want to leave...we love the hot tub in the snow....so pleasant.....everything was beautiful....we were so pleased and would like to thank the people who own this cabin for sharing it with us....Please tell them .....I hope to stay again....
This cottage is precious and was wonderful to spend time with friends there bringing in the New Year!
My husband and I rented the cabin for us, my nephew and his wife and 2 children. The cabin fit our needs perfectly. The kids loved sleeping in the loft! Any questions we might have had were answered by the detailed notes posted conveniently throughout the cabin. Even though the temperatures were pretty cold, we enjoyed warming up in the hot tub and cooking out on the grill. The country setting was beautiful and we saw several deer passing through the property each day. Great accessibility to Boone and Blowing Rock and the Mast General Store. We also found the perfect choose and cut Christmas tree farm close by! Thank you for sharing your lovely home.
Overall, our family of 5 had a pleasant 3-night stay. The cabin was not hard to find, and is in a small, private enclave. Immediate surroundings were very pretty. Rooms and beds were as pictured; the kids were very comfortable. The king bed is quite soft. We were a little put off by an "overstock" situation of many half-used condiments and food items in the fridge and cupboards; several of which appeared "sketchy." Likewise in the bathrooms - vanities and showers full of shampoos, deodorant, etc. Would suggest clearing out a bit of space! Additionally, we were unable to find the key to the lower storeroom to access the bikes. Other than that, a nice place to stay, and we would recommend it to others.
