beautiful view but tired property

  • 2 of 5

Our extended family stayed here last week to attend a wedding in the area. The house needs serious maintenance. About one third of the light bulbs were burned out. Bank of ceiling lights in master bedroom ceiling would not turn off. Many switches blinked for no reason and appeared to be not set correctly. Fire alarm and carbon monoxide alarm went off at 4:20 am with no problem found. Toilet in one of the bathrooms ran and sink was slow draining. No hot pads to be found in the kitchen. Numbers on stove all worn off. Stains on the furniture and mats at the doors needed to be replaced. Carpenter ants were everywhere in the kitchen. Floors and countertops were sticky and dirty. Refrigerator smelled and needed wiping out. The house itself was built in 2003 and could be lovely but needs serious attention and a female touch to detail. Would not stay here again. Would not recommend.

Beautiful luxury home with incredible views!

  • 5 of 5

Our group really enjoyed this home and would definitely return! Different from many properties in the area, this home has some really great outdoor grassy space that gets plenty of sun. The garage & patio are a plus too! High quality amenities and luxurious rooms make this property really stand out!

The property manager was also very responsive and helpful!

Picturesque relaxation

  • 5 of 5

This home is unbelievable. Sophisticated, immaculate, and comfortable. The view alone is worth the trip, but add in a great deck and large hot tub, and it's a perfect spot for a group. We enjoyed viewing the Milky Way each evening while having drinks on the deck. The house-wide sounds system is also excellent. No detail was overlooked, and the house is well-supplied. Kurt is also extremely helpful. We'll be back!

Amazing house!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Ridge House for an anniversary weekend. The house is amazing!!! Pictures of the house were beautiful but the house is even better in person. Kirk, the property manager was great to work with. The accommodations were top notch. Privacy galore and breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains. Wish I could give this house 10 stars! We are already planning our return trip!

The house sits on a mountain ridge with excellent views of Sunday River and the Mahoosuc Range. There is an abundance of wildlife, fishing, swimming and hiking. There are area outfitters offering canoeing, fly fishing, mountain biking, horseback riding, and more. Go Moose-watching, visit some of the areas unique swimming holes, drive to the top of Mount Washington.

Sunday River is located about 65 miles from Portland, ME and some of the most beautiful beaches along the Maine coast. Just North of Portland is Freeport, ME, home of the original L.L. Bean store, open 24 hours. The White Mountain National Forest is only a few miles from Bethel, and the house is about 60 miles east of North Conway, NH... a mountain village with abundant tax free outlet shopping!
