About Michelle Sabia

Family who loves the outdoors and lake life and finally achieved our dream of owning our own lakefront home.

Michelle Sabia purchased this house in 2015

Why Michelle Sabia chose Catskills

We chose this home because of its perfect setting.

What makes this house unique

Besides the high ceilings, open floor plan and view of the lake/mountains we chose this property for its location on the lake. We love being on the open part of the lake where the water is deep yet you can still walk out of the water onto your property. Also, this house gets full sun in the backyard for almost the entire day.

Lakefront fun for all ages

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a great reunion with old college friends and our children at Michelle's lakefront home. She and her husband were very helpful beforehand and while we were there. The lake was beautiful and provided more than enough entertainment for our four kids (ages 6-11) as well as the adults. Kayaks, fishing off the dock, swimming, canoes, and the fire pit were enjoyed to the fullest. We left wishing we had one more day! I especially loved the fact that there were two large screen TV's that the kids did not watch the entire weekend! Comfortable home complete with welcome basket and bowl of candy that the kids had no problem polishing off. Thank you! We hope to return.

This house was the best house I have ever stayed in for a vacation. The basement is great because of the huge TV and the many beds that they give. Also, the board games provided were so fun to play with my friends. The house is so warm and the boats in the back were ready and available to use. Choosing this house is a great choice and I am definitely coming back here again.

Comfy, cozy, lake side retreat

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfectly comfortable and had everything one could need for a weekend away. The fire pit outside was just excellent for cool October nights and the inside fireplace was just as warm and inviting. Michelle and Todd left us some treats for our stay and they were very much appreciated!

Great lakehouse!

  • 5 of 5

Great family vacation on the lake! The house is clean and well stocked. Todd and Michelle were always very responsive to any problems that came up. We picked the hottest week and the bedrooms had no AC but we pulled through! We had a lovely time and would return again! Thank you!

The property was pristine and inviting.

We had a wonderful family vacation. Our entire family was there and everyone had a great time. This recently renovated home nestled in a wooded area on a beautiful lake was just perfect. The lake access was so easy and fun we never even tried the pool or beach that the association has to offer. We made use of the canoe and kayaks and did ample fishing. We enjoyed our welcome gifts of s'mores and wine as we sat by the campfire. We did venture out to the Rhinebeck Aerodrome for a by plane ride and show, Opus 40 and the Saugerties Lighthouse. These were all great adventures. We also did some zip lining. We walked down to the point at the end of the street every night. We so enjoyed eating at Happy Jake's at the Stewart House the first night we arrived there that we went back on the last night we were there! It is a beautiful area with many hidden gems. The days were lazy and relaxing and yet full of fun. Just what you want vacation to be! Thanks so much for everything Michelle!

lovely get away

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed our stay at the lake. The house was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing week. We used the kayaks and rowboat to explore and fish, swam from the dock, and played boardgames (provided) on a rainy day.

Our 4 year old is very interested in firefighters, so one of the days we visited Hudson and the Firefighter's Museum. We also hiked to Kaaterskill Falls and had ice cream at Jim's (I think that was the name). Another day we went to one of the community pools and playground as well as using the tennis courts to play soccer tennis.

Overall, we would highly recommend this lake and property; it has everything you need for an enjoyable vacation.
