Our home is a Victorian two Bedroom apartment. We also have newly remodeled kitchen and bathroom.
The second bedroom on property is actually a repurposed office with an Oxford Pop-up platform sleeper sofa--really quite cute and cozy of a space! If requested prior to arrival, we will leave linens for the sofabed.
Awesome location! Nob Hill is blocks from Union Square (far enough to be clean, quiet, safe), and right on California and Hyde Street Cable Car. Close to Lombard St and Grace Cathedral. One block to Trader Joe's.
Please remember that you will be staying in a home, not a hotel. Therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own. We travel often and have help managing guest services for our home while we are away.
Our home has an electronic lock or lockbox located on or near the entrance. Before and during your stay, you will have access to our mobile-friendly House Manual that contains check-in instructions, access instructions, amenity details, FAQs, and a reporting tool for maintenance requests. The codes needed to enter the property are available 48 hours prior to check-in in our online house manual.
The Pillow team will be available for assistance via email.

Safe neighborhood with a lovely organic grocery store up the block. Bus stop visible from the front door. Home has been updated and was clean. Lots of towels and linens, Internet tv. Has one secured garaged parking stall. Fold out sofa bed is firm and in good condition.
Wifi doesn't work well in the living room. There were 4 of us and none of us could stay connected in that room. The floor plan is a bit odd being a U-shape. The kitchen and living room are on opposite sides of the U with an open air staircase between the two rooms. The garage is acessed by a narrow alley behind the building. Getting into the stall is a bit troublesome, so much so that the owners have an online video that shows you how to get into the stall.
The location of this place couldn't have been better. I had walked to my meeting downtown and the walk was 15 minutes to financial district, and had grand views of bay bridge. While it's close to downtown, Nob Hill is a nice and quiet neighborhood that has an old school charm. Not to mention this place is about 10 mins walk to Lombard street, and 10 minutes to union square, which made it very convenient for leisure travelers. The place is decorated beautifully, very clean, and the hosting service was very professional, making it feel like a hotel (with clean sheets, towel service), but you live like a local. I highly recommend this!
We are seasoned travellers and have spent a lot of time at rental homes, b and b's and resorts. We like to think that we are open minded and willing to accept some differences in accommodations. We often read reviews and find many most amusing about what people complain about. There were a lot of things that we found just "weird" about this whole experience.First of all, we rented from a person named Todd whom we assumed was the owner. We then had an email from AJ, and an email from Justin. We found out the owners names actually were John and Wendy and they recommended that we get in touch with Stephanie. That was all very confusing as there was not "one" go-to person. We spent $300.00 a night on this accommodation because it advertised two bedrooms. We were a party of two couples. When we arrived, we found that one bedroom was actually a den with a pull out futon, that wasn't even made up. The "management" knew it was two couples; not sure why the bed was not made up. We also could not find pillows for the other bedroom. We spent over an hour looking everywhere and finally checked our email. We were informed that "the pillows were missing". How do pillows go missing when you are renting to someone? We then had to use couch cushions. "Weird".This rental felt even more weird since there are actually people living there and were just renting their home while they are away. All of their clothes and personal items were there. It felt like an imposition. We did cook breakfast one morning but there was no place to sit at a table to eat. Only place for two people. The other weird things were that we were told to make sure to do our own dishes (there were some utensils left in the dish drain when we arrived.)We were told to not wear our shoes in the house due to culture. I felt this a little bossy. And there was a house manual regarding rules and regulations and in it it stated not to tell the neighbors that we were renting from VRBO. "WEIRD"The home is not close to anything except the pharmacy and market (I guess if you want to spend your vacation there). It's also not in a great area of the city. We would not have ventured very far after dark. Even the taxi driver wondered about us staying here. For the price we paid you can stay right downtown for 4 nights and be much closer to the action. We are sorry that this didn't work out. It just was definitely not for us.
Nice location and everything is as advertised. The kitchen and bathroom are newly remodeled and the place has everything you need. Nob Hill is a nice and quiet spot but close to everything. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be a little removed from the touristy area but still able to get anywhere in the city with minimal effort.
Loved this little Nob Hill apartment...very clean and the hosting service was very professional and had great communication.
We were so happy with this lovely two bedroom apartment - three friends and I stayed here for a girls' weekend, and the location couldn't have been better. Walking distance to Polk Street, two blocks from Trader Joe's, easy downhill walk to Union Square and the BART station. The place is lovely and very clean, with a beautiful, well-equipped kitchen and a nicely appointed bathroom. We will absolutely stay here again!
