The Place

Whether your stay is for business or pleasure, enjoy this one-bedroom, one-bath Victorian apartment in Glen Park. Crack open a good book on the living room couch or catch some rays in the private garden with bistro table and chairs. We do have a family living above us that get up early and can make some noise. Most guests have no complaints, but if you're a light sleeper it might be good to come prepared with earplugs.

The Location

Located in Glen Park near Outer Mission, Sunnyside, and Mission Terrace, it is impossible to be bored here. Start the day off on the right foot with a stroll around Glen Canyon Park or Billy Goat Hill to check out the views of the city. Grab breakfast and a cup of coffee at Cup Coffee Bar while taking advantage of the free WiFi! Spend the day checking out the local shops with everything from jewelry, home décor and books to furniture, flowers and clothing. When it comes time for dinner, you can’t go wrong with a pie at Gialina Pizzeria, Mexican at La Corneta Taqueria, or French cuisine at Le P’tit Laurent. Cap off the night with a pint at Glen Park Station before coming home to us!

Terrible. I left a day early and have yet to get a reimbursement. Dirty and worn out.

  • 1 of 5

Terrible. The toilet seat was dirty. Hair on the floor. The rug was filthy. Scuffs all over the walls. Kitchen cabinets had finger prints all over them. The couch had bleach stains on it.

The toilet seat was white and worn out - the wooden material of the toilet seat was showing, even if the toilet seat was suppose to be white. It looked like dirt was mixed with the paint.

Mold at the bottom of the shower curtain. I left the premises early even though I paid for 2 nights - stayed for only one. Left in the morning.

Great neighborhood!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for two nights, it's very old but sufficient! That's the San Francisco charm. It is very clean, but we would have liked a television in the bedroom.

Cozy place with owners upstairs

  • 4 of 5

Great location near Glen Park BART station. Ear plugs are recommended at night for light sleepers , because young children live upstairs and they are early risers!

Would return again

  • 4 of 5

On this trip, I was traveling alone to attend a conference at the Moscone Center. The apartment was comfortable and had everything I needed inside. It was conveniently located by the Glen Park BART station; easy walking distance, $2 train fare, 10 minute ride, and I was in the city. The owners had a few pieces of fresh fruit waiting for me, which was a welcome touch.

Few planning points: It's a moderate downhill walk to BART so be ready for the hill when you get back. There's a limited number of restaurants and grocery stores nearby so you may want to pick up a few things while in the city. And, I was glad to not have a car as parking was very limited.

I withheld one star from this review because upon arrival the carpet wasn't as clean as I expected. And, I had some trouble with the Wi-Fi performance a few times. But I would stay there again. Thank you!

Clean apartment for short stay

  • 4 of 5

Listing accurate to photos. Place was clean but smelt old/not aired out properly, and bathroom smelt a little. We were able to hear the upstairs tenants' conversations through the vents, but that was bearable. It would have been nice if the garbage can was lined for ease of clean up, as well as kleenex and paper towel. Very convenient location - you can walk to some restaurants and an organic market, or hop on a bus or BART.
