About the property

A real Maine getaway. This spacious 3 bedroom cottage/home has a nice, large living room with stone fireplace. First floor bedroom. Covered porch. Sandy swimming area and dock. Located on end of a private island reached by a wooded causeway. This is a very very private spot in a lovely, quiet setting. Listen to the Loons. Enjoy the good fishing. A path leads to the nice waterfront with a picnic area and fire pit. There are two other cottages available for rent on the island that have their own frontage, should you need a place for more guests. The other cottages in no way affect the privacy of this property. Close to hiking and mountain bike trails. Owner cleaned and well maintained. There are boat, kayak and canoe rentals nearby. 20 minutes to downtown Bridgton where you'll find movie theatre, drive in movie, restaurants and shops.

Hancock Pond is a special spot to get away from it all. This cottage has a wonderful, Maine feel. The location is perfect for exploring the area. Enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, boating, antiquing, outlet shopping all nearby. Bridgton is nearby and is a quaint New England town. There are shops and restaurants as well as an old fashioned department store - RENY'S and a drive-in movie (not many of these left!). Naples is also nearby where you'll find the Long Lake/Brandy Pond causeway, restaurants, sea plane rides, paddle boat trips and both 18 hole golf course and two miniature golf courses. Come and explore this great area from a comfortable, private spot.

Provides a very nice, quiet, and peaceful place to truly get away from it all. Offers many attractions during the summer time and the lake is quite large for one that does not have too much crowdedness or boat activity. Provides a nice cabin experience and I was surprised with how cleanly everything was. It Provides 2 Bathrooms as well as 3 Bedrooms, Including the one with a bunk bed for children. I found it to be very nice, and the lake front view is amazing. The person renting the Cabin to us actually lives on the land and, (while this is my opinion) is a very sociable and nice person. The attractions were amazing and the most notable for me being Naples Maine, which offers Multiple Ice-cream shops, boat and Kayak rentals, along with many others. The town is unique and it rests on 2 lakes, Long Lake and Brandy Pond. It has multiple places to sit outside and eat right on the waterfront. There are also many available physical and sporting activities Such as Douglas Mountain which offers a place in which hikers may climb up a trail to the top to be rewarded with a Breathtaking view. Overall this was a trip to remember and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who would like to enjoy a Beautiful Scenic Maine getaway at a reasonable price

The town of Sebago is located in SouthWestern Maine and is considered part of the Sebago/Long Lake Region. The location is perfect for folks who enjoy the outdoors. The water front location is a great spot to watch for loons, kayak the pond, fish and walk the camp roads. There are trails nearby for short hikes and just 40 minutes to the White Mountains for wonderful day hiking. The quaint towns of Bridgton and Cornish are nearby where you will find restaurants, shops and antique stores, as well as grocery stores. Bridgton has both a cinema and a drive in theatre as well as a Deertrees live theatre. Naples is located just 10-15 miles away and has a popular causeway between Long/Brandy and Sebago Lakes. The causeway area features dining, water sports, seaplane rides, an arcade and miniature golf. There are golf courses in both Bridgton (Bridgton Highlands) and Naples (The Naples Country Club), both are open to the public.

You can explore Portland and Casco Bay all within an hours drive. Portland is a charming city on the bay with great dining opportunities and ferries that will take you for day trips to Peaks and Cheabeague Islands. Whale watching and day sailing are also available.

For shoppers, you are located between North Conway New Hampshire and Freeport Maine (home of LL Bean). Both of these areas offer outlet shopping for everyone in the family.
