The perfect urban oasis. Only minutes to the heart of Vancouver nestled in one of the prettiest neighborhoods. Two very comfortable bedrooms (queen size beds) plus an upper den with wifi access and flat screen TVs with cable. There is an open main floor that spills out onto a pretty private garden courtyard. It's perfect for an evening BBQ.

The kitchen is well equipped and a local Urban Market grocery store is just two blocks away. Granville Island Market is also within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby if you prefer.

New this year, we have two MOBI bicycle stations within minutes and these link up to the new Arbutus Greenway - a fabulous walking path that connects for miles.

Why John and Vicki Dalziel chose Vancouver

We fell in love with this neighborhood over 20 years ago and finally bought our little duplex dream home in 2001. Our friends call our street one of the prettiest as it is lined with flowering trees and amazing gardens. Our favorite feature is our private garden courtyard. It's a magical spot.

What makes this townhome unique

It's a great location to allow you to experience all that Vancouver has to offer. Ideal for 4 travelers, it's tucked in a beautiful neighbourhood minutes from downtown. You can easily walk almost anywhere or even hop on the bus which stops around the corner. Most recently the new Arbutus Greenway has opened which provides miles of pathways for walking/cycling. It's right at the end of the block with MOBI cycle stations ready if you want to rent a bicycle. You're approximately 20 minutes walk/ 10 minute bike ride to Kits Beach, Granville Island Market , galleries and shopping. Picking and choosing what to do during your stay may be your hardest decision of all.

Fitting right into the urban vibe of Vancouver, our home has wood floors, modern decor, and a well equipped kitchen complete with everything you'll need to whip up tasty meals during your stay. Along with all the major appliances, the kitchen includes a microwave, toaster, wine glasses, coffeemaker, dishwasher, and plenty of cookware. There's a new BBQ with patio dining in the courtyard. (a lovely organic butcher is just around the corner plus a Loblaw's Urban Market is just two blocks away) There are plenty of restaurants nearby if you prefer not to cook.

A little piece of heaven

My husband and I recently spent a week at this delightful property. The owners, John and Vicki, have done an outstanding job anticipating and providing everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The house is immaculate, tastefully decorated and has the added plus of a lovely private patio. It was convenient to a grocery market, the bus stop, rental bikes, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Vancouver, and this rental was the icing on the cake! Thank you so much John and Vicki.

A perfect place

This is a great place to stay. It is close to various bus stops/routes and is located on a charming tree lined street. Very easy to get to UBC and Pacific Spirit park. Vicki and John were incredibly responsive to our requests and needs. The front patio, which is shaded from the street was an idyllic place to eat from early morning breakfast to evening dinners. Great meat store and ice cream shop down the stree. A great walking/biking trail around the corner. Indeed we loved it!

The perfect pied a terre in Vancouver

It is walking (or biking) distance from anything you might want to see or do, but in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood, so you will sleep and rest well. There is a small, private patio surrounded by greenery, with a bbq, which is a pleasant place to enjoy a glass of wine before heading forth for an evening on the town. John & Vicki are gracious hosts, and the unit is equipped with everything which you might need.

This duplex is 10 metres from the Arbutus Corridor, a walking/biking path which connects to the city's many bike routes. Rental bikes are available from the city's public bike-share program ( www.mobikes.ca ), and there is a bike station on the Arbutus Corridor 15 metres from the duplex. This is a particularly good thing because driving in Vancouver is very frustrating.

A charming and well appointed property in an attractive and convenient location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay in this delightful property in picturesque Kitsilano. The owners were most helpful with our enquiry and booking, and welcomed us on our arrival.

The house is stylish and extremely well appointed, with spacious and comfortable accommodation. We felt very much at home. It is situated on a charming street of very attractive properties .Like much of Kitsilano the street is lined with trees and we were lucky enough to be there at cherry blossom time.

The property is very conveniently located. There is a good quality supermarket just a couple of minutes' walk away. Other places of interest within walking distance include the stylish shopping area on West 4th Avenue (15 minutes), Kitsilano beach area (25 minutes) and Granville Island with its wonderful food market (40 mins). Public transport downtown is easy, too, with a bus stop around the corner, as well as a cycle way with municipal cycle hire available. It is also only a 15 minute taxi ride to and from the airport.

We would love to return to Vancouver for a summer holiday and wouldn't hesitate to stay at this property again. Thank you.

Feels like living in a minature forest...

I really enjoyed my stay here...in front of the house is a patio surrounded by plants, trees flowers, bird houses ...It is more the delightful to sit and enjoy your morning coffee in all intimicy...The inside is also very accomodating...Had everything i needed for a week home away from home...The owners are very engaged towards are demands if needed...

I highly recommend this little house with a great location in Kits area ...a beautiful walk to the beach, nearby grocerie, restaurants....Merci beaucoup...

Home Sweet Home Away from Home!

We truly enjoyed our stay at John and Vicki's home. John met us on arrival and gave us the tour and some very helpful information for our stay. The home is cozy, clean and inviting. My friend and I were in Vancouver to attend a week long yoga anatomy training and we were very thankful to come "home" to such an inviting environment after long days of instruction and physical exercise. The gas fireplace provided a welcome respite from the rain and a relaxing place to read and study in the evenings. The neighborhood is peaceful, quiet and within walking distance to everything we needed. We really enjoyed our 30 minute walk to the training venue each day, rain and all! There are grocery stores nearby and some great restaurants. We highly recommend Novo on Burrard Street. A bit of a walk (20 minutes), but having been there on my last visit to Vancouver I assure you it is worth the stroll. Thank you, John and Vicki, for your hospitality and opening your home to us.
