The perfect urban oasis. Only minutes to the heart of Vancouver nestled in one of the prettiest neighborhoods. Two very comfortable bedrooms (queen size beds) plus an upper den with wifi access and flat screen TVs with cable. There is an open main floor that spills out onto a pretty private garden courtyard. It's perfect for an evening BBQ.
The kitchen is well equipped and a local Urban Market grocery store is just two blocks away. Granville Island Market is also within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby if you prefer.
New this year, we have two MOBI bicycle stations within minutes and these link up to the new Arbutus Greenway - a fabulous walking path that connects for miles.
We fell in love with this neighborhood over 20 years ago and finally bought our little duplex dream home in 2001. Our friends call our street one of the prettiest as it is lined with flowering trees and amazing gardens. Our favorite feature is our private garden courtyard. It's a magical spot.
It's a great location to allow you to experience all that Vancouver has to offer. Ideal for 4 travelers, it's tucked in a beautiful neighbourhood minutes from downtown. You can easily walk almost anywhere or even hop on the bus which stops around the corner. Most recently the new Arbutus Greenway has opened which provides miles of pathways for walking/cycling. It's right at the end of the block with MOBI cycle stations ready if you want to rent a bicycle. You're approximately 20 minutes walk/ 10 minute bike ride to Kits Beach, Granville Island Market , galleries and shopping. Picking and choosing what to do during your stay may be your hardest decision of all.
Fitting right into the urban vibe of Vancouver, our home has wood floors, modern decor, and a well equipped kitchen complete with everything you'll need to whip up tasty meals during your stay. Along with all the major appliances, the kitchen includes a microwave, toaster, wine glasses, coffeemaker, dishwasher, and plenty of cookware. There's a new BBQ with patio dining in the courtyard. (a lovely organic butcher is just around the corner plus a Loblaw's Urban Market is just two blocks away) There are plenty of restaurants nearby if you prefer not to cook.
We truly enjoyed our stay at John and Vicki's home. John met us on arrival and gave us the tour and some very helpful information for our stay. The home is cozy, clean and inviting. My friend and I were in Vancouver to attend a week long yoga anatomy training and we were very thankful to come "home" to such an inviting environment after long days of instruction and physical exercise. The gas fireplace provided a welcome respite from the rain and a relaxing place to read and study in the evenings. The neighborhood is peaceful, quiet and within walking distance to everything we needed. We really enjoyed our 30 minute walk to the training venue each day, rain and all! There are grocery stores nearby and some great restaurants. We highly recommend Novo on Burrard Street. A bit of a walk (20 minutes), but having been there on my last visit to Vancouver I assure you it is worth the stroll. Thank you, John and Vicki, for your hospitality and opening your home to us. The best place ever to be for our discovery journey of Vancouver and surroundings!! The spacious house is very tastefully designed and equipped with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. A wonderful garden and patio, where we loved to sit for breakfast or to relax in the evening. We very much liked the very first skype contact with John, who was very friendly and entertaining and gave us the right feel to rent this house. Communication with John and Vicki during our preparation of the journey was very efficient. We were very warmly welcomed by the owners at our arrival and both took all the time needed to explain and help so that our stay would be as enjoyable as ever possible. The neighborhood is great, lovely people, who even invited us for cocktails and dinner. A grocery shop, small restaurants and other amenities are all in walking distance. Likewise, all other destinations of Vancouver are easily reachable from that calm and lovely residential area. We are very grateful for John's and Vicki's confidence in having rented the house to us. We didn't want to leave but had to and would love to come back at one point in time.
Such an amazing opportunity to stay in this home. Gardens are spectacular and the home is truly a home. I suspect there is an artist resides in the home. The beauty of the pictures is so splendid. Every comfort of home is to be found and the neighbours are warm and helpful. We recommend this property and the owners so pleasant and willing to help visitors. The privacy of sitting in their garden area and relaxing needs to be experienced to understand.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at this property. John met us upon our arrival and could not have been more friendly. Immaculate inside with a very well equipped kitchen, very comfortable living space and bedrooms. We also loved the courtyard with umbrella, table and chairs, and spent many hours out there. Situated in a beautiful neighborhood with a wonderful grocery store about a block away, and very central - and Vancouver's great transit system makes it very easy to get around. Highly recommended!
Every time we visit Vancouver this is the place we stay. This is our home away from home. Great location. Walking distance to the beach. The bus stop is around the corner ( A 20 minute bus ride to downtown Vancouver ) grocery store and coffee shops nearby.

We truly enjoyed our week long stay in Vancouver. The house is located within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, and Kitslano Beach. There is public transportation within a half block from the house to take you downtown, the University of British Columbia, or just about anywhere else within Vancouver. The 2 bedroom house was perfect for our family!
Vancouver's Granville Island Market is about a 20 - 25 minute walk away. Kits Beach is also close at hand. Tennis courts, shopping and galleries are just a few blocks away plus University Golf Course is a short drive or bus ride away. Two blocks away is a convenient new Loblaws Urban Market.
