Home away from home!!
This cottage was close enough to walk back and forth to the main streets, but far enough away to be secluded. We felt relaxed, comfortable and pretty much at home. Don was a gracious host, available when needed and accommodating. Next time we return, this most certainly be our home away from home.
Lovey quiet get away
We had a great time in Provincetown. Don was very welcoming and helpful answering our questions. His place was beautiful, clean, with a lovely front porch to sit and have morning coffee.
We wouldn't hestiate to rent again.
This place is amazing!
This place will not disappoint! It's big enough to spread out and relax without ever getting into another person's way. The daily breakfast is a nice option, but the kitchen in the condo is equipped with everything you need to make your own meals. There's also an outside deck and lounge area which are perfect for soaking up the sun.
The staff was more than accommodating! At one point, the hot water stopped working and Don had it fixed within about 30 minutes. (He was eating his lunch outside and dropped everything to make sure we were taken care of!) Patrick came in and out to tidy up and he was just lovely. We only ran into Tim once, but he was super nice and joked about being "next" for the pedicures a friend was giving.
Overall, I highly recommend staying here and we definitely return here for a future vacation! Cheers!
Incredible location, huge and gorgeous condo!
The cottage at John Randall house is the epitome of Provincetown luxury! Stunning artwork, wonderfully comfortable furnishings, every amenity you could ask for, gracious hosts and a perfect central location. We parked our car (yes, it has parking!) upon check in, and never needed once while we were there. The pictures can't even begin to describe the size of this glorious home. It's spectacular and I will definitely be booking again. The hosts were there when we needed them, but never intrusive. Being located behind the John Randall house makes for a very quiet, private getaway. The only suggestion I have, and this is just silly nitpicking, would be a couple of throw blankets to snuggle up on the sofas at night.
Excellent cottage in a perfect location!
I stayed in cottage #2 at the John Randall house in September 2015. The property is located as "centrally" as you can be in PTown.....on Bradford, just one block up from the Ferry Dock. The decor of the unit made me feel "at home"....with surprisingly luxurious furnishings and amazing artwork. The manager/owners were extremely accommodating (don't get disappointed if they don't pick up the phone right away. Just leave a message and they'll get back to you asap.) Please know that the cottage is actually part of a 2-unit building that sits behind the main guest house. This gives you LOTS of privacy. Everything about this place is wonderful, but if I had to give one suggestion it would be additional counter/prep space in the kitchen. There seems to be room for a small, portable butcher block or prep table.....anyway....just being picky. Thank you guys for granting my last minute request for accommodations...it was a great stay!
Condo was exactly as advertised and pictured. Walk to town was easy, location great - right across from an organic food place. Condo was clean, nicely updated, bed was comfortable and sheets were incredibly soft! Great place.
The cottage at the John Randall House is located in the center of a very vital and artistic town. Provincetown is at the very tip of Cape Cod, the easternmost part of Massachusetts, USA. It's remote location and beautiful scenery have lent themselves to a thriving artist community in Provincetown, and has attracted artists of all types over the years. One of the oldest artist colonies in America, it has produced a large number of excellent galleries, cutting edge theatre and many unique shops. Provincetown exudes an extremely tolerant and accepting attitude, making It a preferred home and travel destination for many, especially members of the LGBTQ community. "P-town," as it is sometimes called, also plays an important part in early United States history. These sandy shores were the originally settled by the Pilgrims (before moving into Plymouth), and is the place where the Mayflower Compact was signed. Fishing and whaling have also been a huge part of Provincetown's past, and has left behind a substantial Portugese influence. P-Town's large, safe harbor and prime location made it the Cape's fishing center, with thousands of ships calling it home port. The glory days of fishing are now gone and only a couple dozen ships continue the traditions. Provincetown is also blessed with pristine beaches and dunes on the Atlantic side. Race Point Beach has often made the lists of top beaches in America. It is also one of the few spots on the east coast where one can watch the sun set into the water.
