Overview

Hilton Head House Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Convertible bed(s), Sleeps 6

A Special Guest House for Your Family and Friends.

The Guest House at Sea Oak is located on a beautifully landscaped cul de sac with trees surrounding the house. This is a 2nd row home and there are no streets to cross to get to the beach, the perfect location.

The Guest House is octagon shape and has tall windows on all sides which provide a spacious open feeling. In the morning, wake up and see squirrels playing tag in the trees outside your bedroom windows or relax with a cup of coffee on the deck as you listen to the sounds of the ocean - Yes, you are that close to the ocean.

Let's Cook - with all new appliances in the kitchen it's a joy to cook and for the barbeque experts a new gas grill is located in the yard next to the basketball hoop. Hey, maybe a little one-on-one while the steaks grill.

This two bedroom home has two full baths, each with a shower and tub, one is a Japanese soaking tub - don't laugh until you try it. There are TVs in the living room and each of the bedrooms, parking is right next to the house and a full laundry room is located in the lower level.

You will never forget your stay at The Guest House at Sea Oak, here is your chance to stay in a magical home and to play Swiss Family Robinson for a little while.

Anyone can stay in a condo but nobody will forget their vacation in a ''treehouse''.

Wonderful Stay in the Tree House

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Tree House for the months of February and March and had a wonderful time. The cottage is unique: it's just steps down a beautiful path to the beach but very centrally located and convenient to grocery stores, restuarants, and pharmacies. It's almost, if not totally impossible, to find a private and quiet cottage like this. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. We had no complaints whatsoever and highly recommend the tree house experience to everyone who is well enough to climb a few stairs and whose idea of fun is living up with the squirrels and hearing the sound of waves breaking on the nearby shore.

Terrible smell, badly equipped, wonderful location

  • 1 of 5

This is a charming-looking house which has a terrible moldy/musty smell, has a poorly equipped kitchen (we actually bought bowls, pans, etc for use there), very uncomfortable seating, marginal TV selections and marginal HVAC/air circulation. It probably shouldn't be rented in the winter when temps are into the 30s, but even in other seasons it would be problematic because no windows open except the entrance sliding glass door, so there's no chance for air circulation beyond the HVAC system. We bought and tried an ozone generator to get rid of the odor, but neither that nor covering the lower level stairway, where the most odor came from, with a tarp helped. The only reason we stayed 2 of the 4 weeks we paid for was the great proximity to the fabulous Hilton Head beach.

Owner's Response: It is always sad when a guest is not happy. I work very hard to keep my home in great shape. On the check out evaluation form, left at my local agents office, the guest was asked, “Were there any housekeeping/cleaning concern?” They wrote “No, very clean and orderly.” I have a full time management staff on Hilton Head Island, never once did the guest call and tell them they needed replacement supplies. I was on the island, and never once did I receive a call or an email. Things can’t be corrected if it is not known. Dishes disappear from rental homes; people take food on dishes to the beach or take food to friends who are renting other homes. This is a simple problem with an easy solution. Why they bought 2 coffee mugs when there were 8 coffee mugs in the house is a mystery to me. There were also 8 dinner plate, 4 large bowls, 8 small bowls, 8 salad plates, wine glasses for 8, drinking glasses for 8 - I could go on with all the items that were in the house but you get the idea. There are 3 TV in a two-bedroom house with a full list of channels offered by Time Warner. The title I use for this house is “A Tree House for the Young at Heart, Hear the Ocean, Play & ….” If you don’t have a sense of adventure and fun this home is not for you. You are perched at tree level and can see the squirrels and birds play, the house is a minute walk to the beach. There is parking next to the house, a gas grill and a wonderful deck to enjoy. You are surrounded by trees - some people love trees and other consider them old and musty. I am sorry the guests left but once again I can’t correct a situation that I don’t know about.

Little slice of paradise tucked away in the trees

  • 4 of 5

My wife, 9 year old daughter and I could not have been happier with our decision to stay in 23 Sea Oak. The home close enough to the shops and restaurants but far enough away so as not to feel like you are in the middle of a resort town. Outside the front door is a beach path which took only 1m 45s to be on the sand (Yes, I timed it). Our days started with a sunrise walk and finished watching the sunset over the horizon. This place is truly a little slice of paradise tucked away in the trees.

January at the beach

  • 5 of 5

We shared this house with another couple for the month of January, 2015. Although not spacious, it was very adequate even for people who like to cook and the location more than makes up for close quarters. We walked to the beach most mornings to see the sunrise. Rented bikes for the month and did lots of walking and biking. Coligny Plaza is close enough to walk or bike. The large windows give great views. The owner has upgraded the internet and it is working well now. We would certainly rent again!

Love the Treehouse!!

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic!! We loved this treehouse!! Plenty of room for two people and two small dogs. Private, quiet, VERY close to the beach. The whole place was recently updated and was perfect! The property was in very clean and well maintained condition. We called the property manager about a leaking hose and it was quickly repaired. The soaking tub was very cool. The only draw back was the wireless internet was sometimes spotty and not working, maybe the router is in the main house. Wonderful place we didn't want to leave!!

Delightful first-rate vacation home.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home for a week with another couple and had such a wonderful time. Everything was clean and comfortable. Such a cute place with its unique shape that was much larger inside than it looked. The deck with table and chairs was perfect for coffee in the morning and sharing a bottle of wine in the evening. The round bathtub was really fun and nice to soak in. So close to the beach and Coligny circle that we could walk down and visit the little shops. But the beach is one of the best parts-very private and has the most spectacular sunsets and sunrises. Loved every minute we stayed here and would like to come back for another visit.
