A"Diamond" in the rough, oceanfront 6 BR 6.5 BA single story home located in the quiet residential "Million Dollar Row" section of Myrtle Beach. Nice patio and an extra large backyard located on the oceanside of the house. Great for small Wedding Parties, and other outside activities. Plenty of parking and convenient to all attractions of Myrtle Beach. Four Bedrooms have king beds, one has a queen and the other bedroom is great for kids with 2 sets of bunk beds and a twin. No high rise condos close by so you have a much less crowded beach!
5 minutes from the Sky Wheel and The Boardwalk. 10 minutes from Broadway, Coastal Grande Mall, Ripley's Aquarium, Myrtle Beach Convention Center, and Pelicans Baseball.
The house was great! Everything was as advertised, very clean, and in a great location. Would jump at the opportunity to go back! Robbie was excellent as well...very accommodating to our group. Great trip!
We weren't sure what to expect when we arrived at the house, but every expectation was exceeded! This home is gorgeous and there is plenty of room for numerous guests! We had a group of 9 adults and we were easily accommodated with room to spare! The house is beautiful and on a very quiet stretch of the beach, away from the usual busy tourist spots, but just moments from everything! The beach is at your back door! It was a great value to our family. We will be back!
Pros: Good location, spacious
Cons: Health: Roaches (and a lot of them), pincher bugs, clogged tubs (2) and sink
Cleaning/stock: House not ready until 5 and not properly cleaned. King pillows were fitted with standard pillow cases (so much of the pillow was exposed--gross). Poorly stocked-- no pot holders, etc.
Maintenance: Poorly maintained home, in general. Water rushes in through back door in rainstorm, tiles broken and loose, appliances terrible, toilet paper holders broken, etc.
Communication: Called to get new linens for the pillows and have the drains snaked. No return call.
The rating category won't allow anything less than 5 stars-- but I only give it a 2-3 max.
We absolutely LOVED this beautiful beach house!!! The house was spotless when we arrived. They are still upgrading, some items had already been replaced. Very quite neighborhood yet close to everything. This was a perfect house for our cheerleaders and moms, we had plenty of room for 5 adults and 9 kids. Can't wait to come back again.
This was an awesome house. The space was incredible. There was never any worry of getting in someone else's way. We had 8 people in our party. While it was oceanfront, there was no ocean view; although, there was public beach access right next door. Tons of windows that brought in natural light. And for November, the weather was tremendous. The house could be described as a maze, but it was cool. We got there a bit early and there was a little confusion as to why we stopped at the office instead of going straight to the property. But that issue was easily and quickly alleviated. We were able to check in early. The property had a very spacious backyard.
On the flip side, every room had stained carpets. Someone's sandy flip flops were left on the back porch. The wifi connection was less than stellar if you were any further than the formal dining area. The bunk beds had loose railings and would fall if touched. The dining room, the chairs were wobbly and some of them you could not sit in. In one room, one of the drawers in the chest of drawers had fallen before our arrival. Some of the lights didn't work. And one of the biggest issues we had was the water, the day before we were supposed to check out. Saturday morning, my mother, my sister and I had gotten up to workout. Once we were finished, obviously we wanted to take a shower. We all ended up showering at separate times. When I got in, I only had about 5 minutes (if that) of hot/warm water before it started getting cold. I just chalked it up to too many people taking a shower and the hot water ran out. My mom and sister said they didn't have much hot water either. Well, later on that evening, we went out to eat and came back and people wanted to take showers being that the next day was our last day. We still did not have hot water. We let it run for a minute to see if it would heat up and it never did. I called maintenance to make them aware of the issue and they told me that it's never happened before, but they couldn't get anyone out there that day. They said they would send someone the next day, but that wouldn't have mattered because we were checking out that morning. Needless to say, we were not able to shower that night or the next morning.
Overall our trip was amazing with the exception of some of the little nuisances. I would definitely book this property again if it was fixed up.
The house is a great size for a large family.
We had no problems with personal space. The location is great too. A beach public access point is next door and it was quiet. Could just be the time of year.
The manager is easy to work with. He always returns your calls within 30 minutes to try and resolve any issues. The water heater wasn't working and he had someone out in an hour.
Most of these are first-world problems, but are things you come to expect when you rent a unit. The cable was bad. Half the channels are snowy. The internet was a miserable 1-2 Mb the entire week. Don't try to do anything other than check your email and having multiple people on at the same time is a joke. The dining room chairs are all wobbly and on life support. We couldn't even use them for Thanksgiving dinner. The coffee maker is broken. The toaster only heats one side of your bread. The stove is cracked and one of the burners comes on, but doesn't heat very well. The oven doesn't heat very well either. The carpet needs replacing. There's one bedroom without a TV. The provided Roku is a nice touch, but serves no purpose because there isn't any subscription service on it. Couple that with the tragedy of internet service and it's just another box. There is only a standard sized refrigerator. For a house expecting large parties, a side-by-side is a necessity. We had to make multiple trips to the store because we ran out of items so quickly due to storage space. The dryer is also on this list. It took 3 times to dry a load of clothes. Imagine having 14 people with a standard size washer and dryer with this type of problem.
Overall, our stay was good, but these things will need to be addressed for you to be worry free.
