This quaint cottage is nestled in Lands End Community on Battery Creek, a tidal river that runs between Hilton Head, Paris Island and St Helena Island. You can sit on the enclosed front porch and watch time slip away. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning as you start your day as well as the beautiful sunsets in the evenings. You can see anything from sail boats, shrimp boat to large Coast Guard Cutter heading out to sea.
The home offers 3 bedrooms, 2 kings with attached full bathrooms and in each king room a 50inch flat screen smart tv. The third bedroom has a daybed with trundle. This can be used as a good place to sneak away and read a book or some quiet time. Enjoy crabbing, fishing, skiing, kayaking, jet skiing, sailing or walking to Civil War Fort Fremont. You can also take a stroll down this majestic live oak lined road and take in the views. This cottage offers old world charm and new world trappings. The interior has been fully renovated and updated. We also have a ping pong table for your enjoyment. There is an open fire pit in the front yard that is great for roasting marshmallows. Hunting Island State Park is about 17 miles away and we have a pass for you to use during your stay.
This home was purchased by our parents in 1957 and it has seen a lot of changes. The cottage now belongs to Mac and his sister Barbara. We have so many fond memories of growing up here along with our brother. We fished, crabbed, and skied from sun up to sun down. It is very special to us and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Annette All purchased this cottage in 1957
This is a great place to unwind and relax. It is centrally located to Beaufort, Charleston, Hilton Head and Savannah.
This area is bound in history. Fort Feemont is just a short distance away. You can also enjoy the Low Country culture and all this area has to offer.
Beautiful place, fully stocked with everything needed, the kids enjoyed the kayaks. Loved the quiet and beautiful sunsets. Neighbors where all friendly and cordial. Thank you
If I could, I would give 6 stars. The house is beautiful, spotless and very tastefully, and comfortably furnished and decorated. It is also very well located: mere 300 or so feet from a bay beach with shallow water (perfect when you have small kids), or some 20-minute drive to a "big wave" beach. The owner, Annette, went above and beyond her duties. Since a big storm was passing through the area right on the day when we were supposed to drive down to the house, she was so thoughtful as to contact us and warn us that the power may be out in the house due to the storm (which indeed turned out to be the case later on). When we, as a result, postponed our trip by one day, she generously and without hesitation reimbursed us for the night we did not spend at the house due to the storm, something she didn't have to do since, obviously, the storm was no more her fault than it was ours. She also provides an entry pass for one car for the state park in which the "big" beach is located, thus saving visitors money. We had a wonderful Labor Day getaway and to a significant extent it was thanks to Annette's thoughtfulness. Thank you, Annette!
This is a beautiful property and well laid out to meet the needs of a large family gathering to attend the graduation of our son/grandson from Marine Boot Camp at Parris Island. It was peaceful and quiet and the commute to Parris Island really wasn't as time consuming as I thought it would be. Traffic was not bad at all. The teen-agers in the family really enjoyed the many activities provided with kayaks, bicycles, etc. Our new Marine was even able to join us for the night after graduation so everyone could get a good night's rest before the long drive home to PA.
We did have an electrical/plumbing problem, but the owners were very responsive and got things fixed quickly.
Thank you Annette All for a wonderful place to stay and enjoy lovely surroundings.
The cottage was clean and well stocked. We used the bikes, kayaks and the kitchen supplies. The porch was our go to for morning coffee, afternoon reading and evening cocktails. We enjoyed exploring The Fremont Fort and the beach area near the cottage. We enjoyed the showers and extremely comfortable beds. We hope to do it again!
House was wonderful and owner communication was great. The house is a little far from things, but we liked it that way. My wife did not want to leave. I was looking at for-sale properties across the street because I liked the area so much. Unfortunately, we stayed during a tropical storm, but still managed to enjoy ourselves and stay comfortable. The house felt a lot more sturdy than a condo. Thanks!
My wife and I are retired and were looking for a place away from all the noise and traffic of many desirable vacation destinations. The cottage was spotless. We use VRBO each winter to find a place to stay, and we have never found a property with such a well equipped kitchen! If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will find it here. It was enjoyable working with Annette All and she made sure we were satisfied with our stay.
30 minute drive to Paris Island. Great location for graduations.
