If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy outdoor activities this is the prime location. Located 10 miles outside Quincy in the Beautiful Bucks Lake Wilderness area, just a few miles to Bucks Lake or to Silver Lake. An excellant place to stage as a snowmobilers paradise in the winter, or a boaters retreat in the summer.
After a long day in the wilderness relax on the deck in the back or on the second story porch and enjoy the mountain air. Then go to the first floor to create a wonderful meal in the tiled kitchen, eat at either the dining room or breakfast nook, then enjoy a movie in the living room. As the day winds down go upstairs and light a fire in the family room fireplace, them retire to one of the three bedrooms. Two have queen beds and direct access to the porch. The third is the master suite with a king bed and private tiled bath. You will be amazed at how quiet the area is. Wake up refreshed and travel to the local lakes or hiking area.
If you need to store large items, an oversized garage is available for snowmobiles or your boating equipment. Washer/Dryer, microwave, TV, and games are all ready to be used.
The house is located directly off the main Buck's Lake Road and is County Plowed in the winter. Large mature trees are abundant.

This house is my vacation house, but over the years I have noticed that the house sits empty more than it is used. This is a shame for such a beautiful house, and thought that others may enjoy the benefits that the area offers.
While in the Plumas County are definitely enjoy a trip up to the Lakes, each on offers different experiences. Buck's Lake is a larger lake that is easy to take boats to. If is usually warmer in the summer and has great spot so swim. Silver lake is small and the road to it is quite dusty, but if you like to lake kayak it is fun. Also the hiking around Silver Lake is visually beautiful.
We stayed at the house for a week during the Christmas period. Arriving there, we were immediately in the snow, which was great and beautiful to see. The house itself is way bigger and better than the photos show, with not only 2 living rooms, 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, but also a big 2 car garage and a big deck at the back of the house. A deck from which you overlook the forest and look at the mountain tops. The kitchen has everything you need, there a plenty of toys for the kids, you have wifi and TV. So everything you need. Down the mountain, Quincy is only 15 minutes away for all your needs and up the mountain you end up at the summit with loads of snow and snowplay. Don't forget to bring the snow chains though! All in all a really great stay, with great help and support from the owner Raymond.
We stayed at this home for 7 nights 7/23/15 through 7/29/15 while visiting family for my niece's wedding in Meadow Valley. What a treat. Our 3 grandsons had a blast, the home was just perfect and only 3 miles away from my sister. So much room, comfy beds, fantastic kitchen, quiet and private with glorious outdoor patios and balcony. Home was appropriately stocked with the essentials. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Raymond followed up with a call just as we arrived to make sure all was in order. Thank You Raymond!
Awesome place to stay in Quincy!
I stayed here with some friends on 10/17'14 weekend and this house provides everything we need and more!
It's 10 miles from Quincy town center, up near Bucks lake, so it's really private and quiet.
It has patio overlooking grown pine trees, though we didn't spend much time there since we're busy sight-seeing around Quincy.
The pantry is also well stocked with cups, plates and what-have-you. Some snacks/drinks are even thrown in for good measure.
Raymond (the owner) is really generous and such a good host, he made sure we have every info we need (including places to visit, restaurants, etc) prior to we arrive at his house. Thanks Raymond!
The house is very well kept and clean, the listing photos and descriptions are accurate!
I would definitely recommend this house to all my friends and I'll definitely rent again if I'm back in Quincy.
We had a great time at this home. It was well furnished and well stocked. Raymond was very helpful and courteous. I had a problem with the tv in the family room due to a power outage and I called Raymond and he diagnosed the problem and walked me through how to fix it. Everything else worked to perfection. The home is close to a lot of activities yet far enough away from neighbors to feel remote and quiet. I would recommend this home to almost any age group or function.
We had a fantastic stay at Buck's Lake. This house was perfect for our large party. The house was spacious with lots of different areas for the kids to play away from the adults! The location of the house is perfect; so close to Quincy, Buck's Lake, Silver Lake, and the fabulous Indian Falls.
The house was fully stocked and had everything we needed. Owner was very easy to work with and gave us great directions and things to do.
We had a great time visiting the Quincy/Buck's Lake area. The owner is exceptionally helpful. We've stayed in several vacation homes and this owner is by far the most helpful and hospitable. He gave us a really helpful list of fun things to do as well as restaurant suggestions and where to find needed items like groceries. We didn't eat out, as we prefer to do our own cooking, so we can't speak on the restaurants, but Quincy does have a nice little health food store, which we appreciated.
Buck's Lake is beautiful and the hike from Silver Lake to Gold Lake was awesome!! We really enjoyed the area, lots of hiking, lakes, and rivers. If you like the outdoors, you'll love it!
As for the house, it was beautiful, clean, and well equipped. We have three kids, 11, 9, and 1 and this house was perfect for them. They have toys, games, highchair, and a port-a-crib. The house is close to lots of trails and Buck's Lake. We all loved our visit! The only small down side about the house was the bed in master bedroom. It's definitely on the firm side. The queen beds, however, in the other two rooms, we heard from our kids and my parents, were very comfortable. Also, the house is fairly close to the main road. This wasn't a problem for us, but if you have a toddler or small children you may want to take this into consideration. Overall, this house is great!! Like I mentioned before, I don't think you'll find a better owner to work with, which is worth a ton!! You get a lot of house for the money and Plumas county is wonderful and the people are so kind and helpful!! Thank you so much to the owners for sharing your home with us!!!!
