About Patti Orr

We enjoy an active lifestyle balancing work and adventure. We love water sports or walking on the beach

Patti Orr purchased this house in 2015

Why Patti Orr chose Laie

We enjoy vacationing in Laie and chose to to purchase this home on historic Laie Point. The beaches are a perfect blend for us. Laie has the right blend of slow paced living, is centered on traditional family values, has convenient shopping, and friendly people.

What makes this house unique

The house is removed from the street for privacy. We retreat to our tropical home and let the worries fade with the setting sun.

We had a wonderful time. The location was perfect for what we had planned on our trip. We had a fabulous time. The only recommendation I would make is to heat the little inside pool to make it a hot tub!

Pure Aloha!!

  • 5 of 5

We were a party of 10 and this house was perfect for us. The view was spectacular and we couldn't have been any closer to the ocean!! We loved sitting on the lanai watching the sun come up every morning and having our coffee. WE had great views from most of the house!!! The street was quiet, not much traffic and over all a great home. Patti was quick to get back to me any time I had questions prior to our arrival. Patti's husband Eric came down and met us the day we arrived and answered a few questions about the house and showed us around....gave us a few tips of things to do as well.....they couldn't have been any nicer. We rented paddle boards from her son who was very gracious and asked if we had any questions about the area or things to do, places to eat etc.....we enjoyed meeting him and talking to him about the island.

We toured the entire Island and explored daily.....did a private boat charter with Wild Side Specialty Tours which was FABULOUS!!! We took a helicopter tour out of Turtle Bay Resort which was also fabulous and everyone loved the Polynesian Cultural Centre. We mostly dined at food trucks and local joints and had some of the best meals EVER!!!

The only complaint that a couple people in our party had was the house only came with one set of towels per person....we managed and just washed them daily.....we told them "you're in paradise, relax"

So if you are a larger group and want to be away from the Honolulu traffic this is the perfect house!! LOVED IT!!! Mahalo Patti, for allowing us to share your home!!

Blown away

  • 5 of 5

This place was amazing. Absolutely best location on Oahu. Also, place was perfectly clean and the hosts live just two houses down, so you have all your space but they are at your beck and call if need be. My only hesitation with a recommendation is that I kinda wanna keep it a secret so it's easier for me to book again...

Loved it!

Perfect place for a gathering.

Lots of space. Nicely appointed. Everything that you might need, from snorkeling gear to kitchen gadgets.

But more than anything else, the view.

Oh. My. Gosh.

Our entire party was glued to the lanai.

We had to pry ourselves away.

Fortunately, anywhere else we wanted to be was super close.

Polynesian Cultural Center: less than 5 minutes.

Golf at Turtle Bay: 15 minutes.

Snorkeling in a protected cove: 15 minutes.

Boogie boarding & ocean kayaking: around the corner.

And we had the entire beach to ourselves every day.

Skip Waikiki. Skip overpriced resorts and the crowds that flock to them.

At this house, you can grill dinner on the lanai in an ocean breeze with no one around but you.

But be careful. If anyone joins you on the lanai, the ocean is so close that you may have to speak up a little to be heard.

Paradise, indeed.

Amazing sunrise view straight out of a postcard!

  • 5 of 5

We arrived late at night and some of my family members were concerned when they saw the front of the home. It had a unique lava rock wall and nice landscaping but beyond that all you can see was the front door. Their jaw dropped when we opened the door to reveal a large, beautifully decorated, open-concept home! There were 13 of us including children. The children loved the wading pool area, which was about waist level for 6-8 year olds. We were cautious with the kids around wading pool and outside area, since it doesn't have any barriers. The 5 bedroom home and loft was spacious enough for all of us. Most of the rooms had a fan, The bathrooms were stocked with full-size shampoos and conditioners as well as lotions, gels and toothpaste. The kitchen is also fully stocked with cooking utensils and spices. There is also a charcoal grill. We woke up each morning to see the amazing sunrise view from the outdoor area. They also provided plenty of towels and snorkeling equipment. There is a Foodland, movie theater and other stores just a couple of minutes away. We enjoyed Luau and show at Polynesian Cultural Center which is about a 5 minute drive away. Waimea Falls, Ted's Bakery, Giovanni's Shrimp Truck and Matsumoto's Shave Ice are close by as well. Waikiki is about 1 hr. 10 minutes away. Patti was very responsive to our e-mails and phone calls. Overall the home was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We all loved it!

Beautiful views from spacious home on Laie Point

  • 5 of 5

We loved the expansive views of the ocean from this beautiful home on Laie Point. The home was very nice with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedroom and bath, private drive, and great patios overlooking the ocean on Laie Point. Since the home is out on the point, the views are incredible! The location was also great...we could walk to Laie Point to see the waves crashing through the hole in the rock and walk down the beach nearby. We were close to the Polynesian Cultural Center and market, other amazing beaches, a bike trail, the Mormon Temple, the north shore, Turtle Bay, and more. We highly recommend this beautiful place for a stay in Oahu!
