We stayed at the cabin with another couple for a long weekend around a Greenbay Packer game. The location was good for an easy drive to Greenbay.
The cabin is very comfortable for two couples. The kitchen was more than adequate for meal preparation. We enjoyed sitting outside on the decks for a relaxing weekend.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
My wife, myself, and our 6-year old daughter stayed for 4 nights in July of 2016, and had an absolute blast! The cabin, is breathtakingly beautiful in it's construction. The property, is completely private, surrounded on all sides by forest.
There are walking trails throughout the property. A small "tree farm" is on the property. We spent lots of time outside on the decks watching and listening to nature. We saw deer walk up 10 feet from the cabin windows. Saw a wild turkey, etc.
We enjoyed several meals out and about, our favorite was at Schwartz's Supper Club about 30 min away.
I can't say enough good things about the place. We will absolutely be coming back.
We had a great time relaxing in this beautiful cabin in the woods. The cabin is awesome- from the workmanship to the finish details to the furnishings, it is a great getaway spot! We loved the outdoor areas, and we loved the large indoor spaces too!! We highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway!
This was a very pleasant setting in the woods of northern WI with great bird watching. We saw several birds for the first time, including an indigo bunting. Picked asparagus right on the site and had a delicious meal of local lamb, morels, and asparagus. Enjoyed just staying in the cabin, but this was also a great base for visiting Door County. We drove up to Fish Creek and enjoyed a traditional fish boil and went shopping. There are many interesting shops in Door County and we purchased a wind sculpture for a very good price. We also made several long day trips over to the WI Dells, Aldo Leopold's cabin, and the International Crane Center. Lots to do in this area of WI! We would stay again for a week or more.
Let me start by saying how cool the cabin is, it really is a log cabin. The pictures don't do it justice, it is a lot bigger then it looks. It has that rustic warm feel that you want. By far the nicest cabin I have ever stayed in plus it has everything you need. It is very peaceful and quiet. We had campfires with s'mores and played games. My family loved it. You have got to go to Saint Nazianz Opera House or Butch's as the locals call it for their Friday perch fry. We also found a local dairy called Pine River that had a fantastic selection of cheeses and the kids got a scoop of really fresh ice cream that was fantastic for a quarter. One of the highlights of the trip for me was a salmon fishing excursion... My son and I caught a mess of big fish while my wife and daughter went shopping in Sheyboygan. We will definitely be going back!
