We have enjoyed Wolf Laurel for years as an escape from South Carolina summers and are thrilled to now own a home there.
We especially enjoy sitting on the upper deck, enjoying the long range view while listening to the trickling creek and the chirping birds.
My family came to Wolf Laurel for a Wedding in the middle of the week. We just needed space and time to wind down from preparations, and from the big event. The cabin was perfect. The time was quiet and restful. We were able to recharge ourselves before a long drive home. The time we spent together was as much fun as the wedding. Just talking, cooking and enjoying some much needed reconnect time. The kitchen was full of anything we needed. My Grandson enjoyed the complete movie selection. My husband was happy with the comfy beds. I was glad to be with my family, in a space that was comfortable. So, normally we are "Beach People" and that is mostly how we spend our vacation dollars, but we will be making some adjustments to include some mountain trips and I am hopeful that we will return to this cabin. The owner was very helpful and was great with follow up via email and cell phone. So I must say a big Thank you for my time in your beautiful home. For Rest and Peaceful Moments.
My family came to Wolf Laurel to attend a larger extended family gathering. My husband and I had stayed in my Uncles cabin there the year before and we loved the area. We had a 4 generation group from ages 7 -81 in this cabin and we were very comfortable with each small family group of 1-2 having their own space with 4 different sleeping areas. We had a total of 7.The downstairs sleeper sofa in the den is more suited for 1-2 children. All the other beds were very comfortable.
The cabin has a casual comfortable home-like feeling with rustic cabin decor and was very clean with a well stocked kitchen. The 2 grandkids and their parents loved exploring the creek area and the fire pit down there with a bench was perfect for Somores and just enjoying the quiet beautiful atmosphere. One bonus for my kids and grandkids was using the 2 large baskets of Lincoln Logs to spread out on the floor and all build houses together. Brought back sweet memories for me. We also enjoyed white water rafting and Ziplining while we were there that were within reasonable drives from Wolf Laurel.
This cabin is reasonably priced considering the views and the amenities it provides. I would definitely return.
Took a long weekend in the mountains, and I got what I needed. Beds were comfortable, cottage was clean, and it was QUIET! Never even turned on the TV. I finished a Clive Cussler novel, and added it to the collection on the mantel over the stone fireplace. When I left home in Charlotte, it was on the way to the low 90's. It was 74 degrees when we got here, and we needed to close up the house and sleep under the blankets at night. This stay made me want to build my own place up here!
Are you looking for a place that is peaceful and surrounded by the wilderness? Then this is your place! This house is sitting high up on a mountain top and it is just breathtaking. The house is very well kept and it feels like home as soon as you walk in. I really liked how the house is located in a gated community. The only problem to being so secluded is the nearest store will take you some time to get too, but it is such a beautiful drive that it does not matter! There are even walking trails near by. The owners are very helpful and easy to contact at anytime. I highly recemmend this place!
This is a great get-away house in a beautiful spot in the mountains! It was near enough to Asheville to go there for the day, which was great. The house has a great living space and nice bedrooms; the view is fabulous! The neighborhood is nice and quiet and perfect for walks. We saw some nice deer on our walks. The kitchen is stocked with materials for full cooking. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone-- we had a great time and will definitely return.
This is a perfect house on a beautiful lot. A creek runs behind it so the running water can lull you to sleep. We saw a sleeping fawn in the back yard upon arrival! There are great trails on which to hike. Quaint restaurants and shopping are in nearby in Weaverville, and Asheville is not much farther away. Skiing is close by for winter months. House is well supplied with all you need! Parking is flat and easy to do! A great place to get away from everyday chaos!
