About the property

Studio Cabin

No Damage to Little Creek. Please pray for the people in this area who were affected by the terrible fires. Thank you for visiting Little Creek Retreat on HomeAway. This quaint, pet friendly, studio cabin was completely renovated in April of this year (2015) with wood look tile flooring, stainless steel appliances (dishwasher, stove, microwave, side by side refrigerator with ice maker), new lighting, and all new furnishings. As you will see by the photos of this beautiful cabin, the welcoming vintage décor makes Little Creek Retreat a great honeymoon or couple's retreat. The cabin will accommodate up to four (king bed and a queen sofa sleeper). A fenced in area adjacent to the cabin has been added so your little pet/pets will be safe. Outside activities include horseshoes, charcoal grill with picnic table, outdoor fire pit, and small pond for fun fishing. A Jacuzzi tub is located inside the cabin, as well as a hot tub on the private screened porch. A wood burning fireplace adds to the romantic feel of Little Creek Retreat. New stackable washer/dryer, Wi-Fi (which is limited due to location of cabin) and Dish Satellite TV is available for our guest. Cabin is conveniently located just seven minutes from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, with no steep mountain roads, which makes this cabin easy accessible. The very private setting on an almost one acre lot, makes it a peaceful getaway. There is plenty of space for parking a motorcycle trailer for folks who love to ride the mountain roads. We know that you won't be disappointed in your stay at Little Creek Retreat. Enjoy Little Creek Retreat for your honeymoon, anniversary or couple's retreat. Or bring the children and have a get away time with the family. During the Christmas holidays, the cabin is decorated. You will find a Christmas tree, which makes you feel right at home.

Little Creek Retreat is professionally cleaned and prepared for each arrival. Our cleaning fee includes: bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths & kitchen towels, roll of toilet paper, paper towels, liquid dish soap, automatic dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, liquid hand soap pumps for all sinks (bathroom and kitchen), bars of soap for shower and bathtub, trash can liners with extra liners including outside. The hot tub is cleaned, sanitized, and replenished with chemicals prior to each guest arrival. Our rates include the maximum number of guests the cabin is rated for with no extra per person charges.

Nearby Attractions: Only Minutes to Dollywood & Splash Country, live music theatres, outlet shopping, antique shopping, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove, horseback riding, hiking, rafting and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Cherokee, North Carolina Indian Reservation with shopping, restaurants and Harrah's Hotel and Casino is approximately 35 miles from Pigeon Forge.

Guest need to be aware and understand that you are in the mountains and there are trees all around. Some cell phone services will work in the area. Some will not. Also, there is only one company that I can get internet service through. Therefore, it is limited and very costly. Please use your time wisely on the internet. There is limited GB per day.

The cabin is located in a secluded setting. It is very unlikely that you will see wildlife, but if you do, remember they are not pets. Don't feed them or try to play with them. Some guest come to the area so that they can see wildlife. I would suggest making a drive to Cades Cove. I was there the weekend after Thanksgiving in 2016. We drove out to Cades Cove and we saw deer, a bear and lots of Turkey. It's a nice drive and beautiful scenery.

About Carmen Bedwell

I am originally from Chelsea, Alabama. After the death of my husband from a brain tumor in 2010, I decided to make a move to Destin, Florida. I am employed for Beach Condos in Destin, a rental management company. Having worked in the rental management business, I understand what a guest wants when they rent a property. I strive to do my very best to make a guest stay what they hope it to be.

In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, especially flea markets and antique stores and love interior design. I enjoy watching Nascar and love classic cars. Walking on the beach is one of my favorite past times. But I especially cherish the time I spend with family and friends.

My husband was in the construction business in Shelby County, Alabama, which developed my interest in remodeling. I have remodeled two homes in Destin and also built a home in 2014. Little Creek Retreat was my most recent project, and I am very proud of the results.

Wilson, my Maltese, is nine and my little shadow. He is the main reason I made Little Creek Retreat pet friendly. He has always been my traveling companion so I realized how important pets are to their owners.

Visit facebook page - Little Creek Retreat. Was started July 8, 2016. Would love my guest to post pictures of their trip to the cabin.

Why Carmen Bedwell chose Tennessee

When I decided to buy property in the mountains, I knew I wanted a cute, small cabin. I looked at property in the Blue Ridge area of Georgia, mountains of North Alabama and Pigeon Forge. On my first visit to the Pigeon Forge area to look at property, I knew that is where I wanted to be. There are so many things to do in the area - great food, great shows and the amazing mountains of the Great Smoky Mountains.

When I drove up the drive to the cabin for the first time, I knew it was the place I wanted to be. The beautiful setting sold me immediately.

I have always loved traveling to the area for the fall car shows, but my most special memory is making my first trip to the mountains when I was five years old with my parents, older brother and cousin. I still have the stuffed black bear my parents bought me on that trip back in the early 60s.

I am looking forward to making new memories in Little Creek Retreat and am hoping my guest will, too.

What makes this cabin unique

Easy access was one of my first requirements in locating a cabin to purchase. The mountain views are great, but I wanted a cabin that was easy to get to...no steep roads. I wanted to make sure I could get in and out in case of icy roads. I also wanted a cabin that had a private, secluded setting in the woods. Little Creek Retreat had everything I was looking for. The little pond across the street from the cabin made the cabin even more appealing. I have always loved being on the water, so having a little pond to fish in was a plus.

Perfect location. Close to everything yet secluded and quite. Beautifully decorated.

We arrived on Christmas day to the cabin to find it decorated for Christmas, even outside lights. The cabin is beautiful. Very tastefully decorated with up to date decor. We loved the screened porch. The location could not be more perfect. Close to everything yet quite and secluded. Very easy to get to it without all the curves up a mountain. Carmen is very easy to work with as well. We will definitely return and recommend to everyone we know. Thanks for sharing your awesome home with us.

A perfect retreat!

  • 5 of 5

This is a perfect retreat. The cabin is just outside of Pigeon Forge so you're not going to be disturbed by tourists and traffic but you can be downtown in minutes. The hot tub was a nice amenity on cold nights and we kept the fireplace going just for pure enjoyment! The cabin is really cozy and is decorated for each season. Once you step inside you will see that it's obvious that the owner takes great pride in this place and you will feel like you are at your home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed this cabin for a whole week and we plan on staying here several times a year from here forward. Thank you for this experience and keep up the great work!

Beautiful Smokey Mt. Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The listing description of the property was very accurate and the cabin and property were more beautiful than the pictures. It was gorgeous.

Everything was very clean and well-maintained. The vintage décor was perfect and I enjoyed watching the fire in the fireplace. The fire turned the cabin into a magical space. The screened in porch with the little swing was very inviting early in the morning to watch the sunrise and feeling the breeze in the evening. (I did not use the Jacuzzi but one was available in the screened area of the porch.) The fall colors of the trees on the property were a beautiful painting of nature and sitting on the picnic table allowed me to be wrapped up in the gorgeous surroundings. The cabin was well equipped and I needed nothing. The owner did supply her phone number and email address in case I needed to contact her.

I would definitely recommend the property to my friends and relatives. (A perfect getaway for anyone.) I loved walking the property and would go down to the small pond and enjoy the serenity and magic of the leaves raining down on me.

The town had a great variety of restaurants and beautiful, unique little shops.

I am ready to come back as soon as possible. What a wonderful experience it was.

Couldn't ask for a nicer cabin and location not far from town. Quiet and nice neighbors. I would refer this cabin to anyone.

Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect rental for two people. The area was quiet, and the home was filled with lots of nice touches and the decorating was warm and inviting. There is another home next door but it is far enough away that we didn't feel crowded and it still felt private. We didn't see another soul over the whole long weekend. Will definitely remember this one for the future.

Second stay was just as great!

  • 5 of 5

After spending a few days at the cabin back in March, we had to come back and enjoy a longer stay in the fall. My wife and I find the setting and the decor perfect for romantic getaways - well worth the nine hour drive from our home in PA. Once again, we found the cabin clean and extremely well-maintained and appointed. I would not be surprised if we make a third visit some time in the not-too-distant future.
