About the property

Pigeon Forge/Wears Valley area pet friendly updated cabin - sleeps four

Thank you for visiting Little Creek Retreat on HomeAway. This quaint, pet friendly, studio cabin was completely renovated in April of this year (2015) with wood look tile flooring, stainless steel appliances (dishwasher, stove, microwave, side by side refrigerator with ice maker), new lighting, and all new furnishings. As you will see by the photos of this beautiful cabin, the welcoming vintage décor makes Little Creek Retreat a great honeymoon or couple's retreat. The cabin will accommodate up to four (king bed and a queen sofa sleeper). A fenced in area adjacent to the cabin has been added so your little pet/pets will be safe. Outside activities include horseshoes, charcoal grill with picnic table, outdoor fire pit, and small pond for fun fishing. A Jacuzzi tub is located inside the cabin, as well as a hot tub on the private screened porch. A wood burning fireplace adds to the romantic feel of Little Creek Retreat. New stackable washer/dryer, unlimited Wi-Fi and Dish Satellite TV is available for our guest. Cabin is conveniently located just seven minutes from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, with no steep mountain roads, which makes this cabin easy accessible. The very private setting on an almost one acre lot, makes it a peaceful getaway. There is plenty of space for parking a motorcycle trailer for folks who love to ride the mountain roads. We know that you won't be disappointed in your stay at Little Creek Retreat. Enjoy Little Creek Retreat for your honeymoon, anniversary or couple's retreat. Or bring the children and have a get away time with the family. During the Christmas holidays, the cabin is decorated. You will find a Christmas tree, which makes you feel right at home.

Little Creek Retreat is professionally cleaned and prepared for each arrival. Our cleaning fee includes: bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths & kitchen towels, roll of toilet paper, paper towels, liquid dish soap, automatic dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, liquid hand soap pumps for all sinks (bathroom and kitchen), bars of soap for shower and bathtub, trash can liners with extra liners including outside. The hot tub is cleaned, sanitized, and replenished with chemicals prior to each guest arrival. Our rates include the maximum number of guests the cabin is rated for with no extra per person charges.

Nearby Attractions: Only Minutes to Dollywood & Splash Country, live music theatres, outlet shopping, antique shopping, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove, horseback riding, hiking, rafting and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Cherokee, North Carolina Indian Reservation with shopping, restaurants and Harrah's Hotel and Casino is approximately 35 miles from Pigeon Forge.

Guest need to be aware and understand that you are in the mountains and there are trees all around. Some cell phone services may not work in the area. I know for sure that Verizon has no problems.

The cabin is located in a secluded setting. It is very unlikely that you will see wildlife, but if you do, remember they are not pets. Don't feed them or try to play with them. Some guest come to the area so that they can see wildlife. I would suggest making a drive to Cades Cove. I was there the weekend after Thanksgiving in 2016. We drove out to Cades Cove and we saw deer, a bear and lots of Turkey. It's a nice drive and beautiful scenery.

Great little cabin for reasonable rates....All reviews have been five stars since the cabin was put on HomeAway in June, 2015.

About Carmen Bedwell

I am originally from Chelsea, Alabama. After the death of my husband from a brain tumor in 2010, I decided to make a move to Destin, Florida. I am employed for Beach Condos in Destin, a rental management company. Having worked in the rental management business, I understand what a guest wants when they rent a property. I strive to do my very best to make a guest stay what they hope it to be.

In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, especially flea markets and antique stores and love interior design. I enjoy watching Nascar and love classic cars. Walking on the beach is one of my favorite past times. But I especially cherish the time I spend with family and friends.

My husband was in the construction business in Shelby County, Alabama, which developed my interest in remodeling. I have remodeled two homes in Destin and also built a home in 2014. Little Creek Retreat was my most recent project, and I am very proud of the results.

Wilson, my Maltese, is nine and my little shadow. He is the main reason I made Little Creek Retreat pet friendly. He has always been my traveling companion so I realized how important pets are to their owners.

Visit facebook page - Little Creek Retreat. Was started July 8, 2016. Would love my guest to post pictures of their trip to the cabin.

Carmen Bedwell purchased this cabin in 2015

Why Carmen Bedwell chose Tennessee

When I decided to buy property in the mountains, I knew I wanted a cute, small cabin. I looked at property in the Blue Ridge area of Georgia, mountains of North Alabama and Pigeon Forge. On my first visit to the Pigeon Forge area to look at property, I knew that is where I wanted to be. There are so many things to do in the area - great food, great shows and the amazing mountains of the Great Smoky Mountains.

When I drove up the drive to the cabin for the first time, I knew it was the place I wanted to be. The beautiful setting sold me immediately.

I have always loved traveling to the area for the fall car shows, but my most special memory is making my first trip to the mountains when I was five years old with my parents, older brother and cousin. I still have the stuffed black bear my parents bought me on that trip back in the early 60s.

I am looking forward to making new memories in Little Creek Retreat and am hoping my guest will, too.

What makes this cabin unique

Easy access was one of my first requirements in locating a cabin to purchase. The mountain views are great, but I wanted a cabin that was easy to get steep roads. I wanted to make sure I could get in and out in case of icy roads. I also wanted a cabin that had a private, secluded setting in the woods. Little Creek Retreat had everything I was looking for. The little pond across the street from the cabin made the cabin even more appealing. I have always loved being on the water, so having a little pond to fish in was a plus. Great place to bring your pet.

Very clean, and loved how the cabin was decorated! It was quiet!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I loved the cabin and it's location. It had everything we needed and we had privacy. Our favorite part of the cabin was the hot tub on the screened in porch. The owner was so nice and friendly! We would definitely go back.

Perfect location to everything!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the fact the cabin wasn't too far from town but yet far enough away to give you privacy from everything. I would say this cabin was in the middle so you could drive a short distance to Gatlinburg or stay in Pigeon Forge and enjoy all it has to offer.

Lovely Getaway Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I found this cabin to be squeaky clean, cheerfully decorated, and comfortably appointed for our little getaway. We really enjoyed the screened in porch- sipping coffee and reading a book on the swing was a nice way to begin each day! Its location is ideal for travelers who want to be on the quieter side of town, but close enough to get to the activities on the main Pigeon Forge thoroughfare with just a short drive. We will definitely look to stay here again on our next trip to the area!

Clean, well kept, comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Great little cabin. I love the porch and the fenced area for dogs. I do wish the shower stall had room to be bigger, but it is a minor thing. Excellent little cabin. The driveway and parking area is an added bonus as I hate having to back into traffic and this cabin has a driveway and space to back up so you can pull out of the drive. Overall a wonderful little space.
