Style of Airbnb hosting: hospitality is key! Allow for a lot of privacy but am definitely accessible and inviting! Will give great tips for the local area, and my place is built for rest, relaxation, and comfort. You will have a great stay at my spot during your Brooklyn travels!
Shari purchased this apartment in 2014
I've lived in East Flatbush my entire life, and love the neighborhood! It is so friendly, diverse, and close to everything while being very residential and central in Brooklyn.
Super spacious, all necessities included, and parking included!
Had to visit NYC for a week. Thanks to Shari and her husband for everything. The house is conveniently located near the 2,5 train which was about 30minutes from my job near Penn Station. The street is surprisingly quiet, my son and I slept soundly. We would recommend this play to anyone.
This was my first time using homeaway and had a great first time experience with Shari. We were provided all the necessities that one needs in their home and she provided snacks upon our arrival. She was pleasant and welcoming. She also provided information about what is near the area and transportation. Apartment was clean with a great aura that made the stay so relaxing and felt like home. The apartment looks exactly like the pictures on the website. Brooklyn is always busy and parking is hardly available, but we were able to park in the driveway that helped with avoiding the aggravation to look for a parking space. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Brooklyn. Shari wasn't intrusive and allowed us much privacy. If I needed her, she made it clear that she was available when needed. Wonderful stay! Thank you Shari!
My parents, husband and I stayed at this property while combining a conference at the Barclays Center with some sightseeing in Manhattan. The property was clean and comfortable with the majority of items needed for our stay (a toaster was the main item missing). Shari provided us with some basic food items as well as some special treats which were very appreciated after a long drive. She also provided helpful info about transit and local restaurants and grocery stores. She was friendly, kind and a great hostess!
The location of the property itself was fine and we felt safe for the most part. However, we did not feel comfortable with the walk up Church Ave (the nearest subway station) at night. While we travel quite extensively (North America and Europe), we still chose to take a taxi from the Barclays Center ($20) when we were getting back after dark after walking it two nights in a row. Interestingly, the taxi drivers don't even know the area very well as both said they rarely drive in that part of Brooklyn. I would suggest doing a little research online about the area to determine if you would be comfortable.
Overall, I would stay here again but would factor in the cost of a taxi at night to avoid Church Ave.
Shari was great... The apartment was comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Shari so very accommodating. Her place was immaculate when we arrive and she had a sweet little basket of snacks for our stay! She was never intrusive and sent us off with a warm goodbye! My family and I loved staying in her apartment. We would definitely stay again!
I came to NYC to celebrate my 30th birthday with friends and family. The four of us fell in love with the apartment as it was very clean and spacious. The owner, Shari, was so kind and accomodating. I will definitely stay here again when I come to the city.
Very nice, quiet residential neighborhood surrounding SUNY Downstate Medical Center. 5-7 minute walk to subway station, two blocks from bus stop, two minute walk to coffee shops, restaurants. Close to all amenities, great for trying new foods and experiences, especially Caribbean food!
