Comfortable, clean, roomy condo.

Our family of 5 spent the Thanksgiving weekend at this condo--it was perfect. We enjoyed playing football on the lawn overlooking the water. Easy access off I35, close to many Austin attractions. Thanks Shane!

Great experience. Everything was perfect!

We had an exceptional experience while staying here. Property owner was accommodating and easy to communicate with. Pictures don't do the place justice. It was SO much bigger than we anticipated. The location is AWESOME! Walking distance of downtown should you chose to walk. Right on the water. Views of the water from the room and just a VERY short walk to the water to sit on the pier and enjoy a cup of coffee or just relax and enjoy the view. The pool is right outside your door!!! We walked to rent paddle boards to enjoy the lake! Absolutely everything we needed for the entire (long holiday) weekend was less than 5-10 miles away. I can't stress enough how perfect this place was! Highly recommend! We will definitely be staying here again if we ever need a place!!

Great location near 6th street in Austin

We had a great time at the condo. The accommodations were pretty good, nothing too fancy but suited our needs. We loved being so close to the walking path on Lady Bird lake and close to many of Austin's attractions. We also enjoyed spending time at the pool, and there were several restaurants in the area which made it convenient to grab a quick bite to eat. It was also a good layout for what we needed with the two bedrooms upstairs sharing a bathroom and the other bedroom downstairs. I would recommend staying here.

Great Location, view, pool and 3 great bedrooms!

Loved the location to jump on the hike and bike trail found the condo to be spacious, 3 big bedrooms and very clean and had all the basics! I would highly recommend it .. Great value... If I wanted to pay more with less rooms I would stay at the Ritz...

For the money . . .

It brings me no pleasure to be critical about the property but I think it's only fair to prospective renters to know what they are getting into. Note - any comment I make about the property is not a comment about the owner, the other residents of this development or the citizens of Austin; facts are facts.

The complex is dated. Stair rails are rusty, wood is rotten and paint is flaky. For what it is, you can tell that the ground crew/property management work very hard to make the best of what they have - that is especially true for the pool area and yards/landscaping. But the property still needs a lot of work - I thought the staircase to our unit was going to break completely free from the landing at any time.

The unit itself is worse. The carpet is old and stained (complete with a burn mark in the center of an upstairs room where an iron was dropped and cooked the carpet - how do I know? Because the iron was in the closet and had burnt rug on it). The walls are stained/streaked, shower curtain stained/mildewed, downstairs flooring uneven and slopes toward the back of the unit, disposal not operational, upstairs toilet not operational without reaching in the tank and adjusting the float valve with every flush, the downstairs toilet seat is loose and does not tighten, the shower/tub/sinks are discolored and streaked with ????, there was a dirty towel in an upstairs closet (spread out on the floor - we opted to stay out of that room), no smoke detector in one of the upstairs bedrooms, short chain pulls on light fixtures (no switch in closet), splotchy paint splatters on the bath floor, etc., etc. Upon arrival, the place (maybe) spot cleaned - we had to clean the whole place - kitchen (nasty sticky jelly stuff on the counter top), the bath counters, tub/showers and vacuum/sweep all floors. It was a holiday weekend (07/04) in Austin and there was no reasonable alternative lodging (we looked). The A/C worked and there were no bugs, so we decided to make the best of it and stayed.

Shane worked with us on the rental rate and was very civil to deal with, and for that I am thankful. I could not rate this unit a 3 so it's a 2 or 2 1/2 at best. If you're a 20-something and want a party/crash pad in Austin, this is your thing. If you're more discerning in your lodging, for the money, look elsewhere.
