A charming home in a neighborhood reminiscent of Mayberry
Spent 4 days here with a group of old friends, all in our 40's and 50's. The home was spacious and had all the amenities we could need. They City of Melrose is a suburb of Boston, just close enough to the city to be accessible via the Public Transportation System and Uber, yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and solitude of a suburb. Greg's home is a five minute, peaceful, walk from a district of shops, diners and wonderful restaurants. Giacomo's is a "must visit" for some of the best Italian food our group has ever enjoyed.
Greg was helpful and pleasant to work with. One very minor note: if you are visiting this home in the summer, make a point of asking Greg ahead of time, to make sure there are some portable fans available. As in any big older home, it can get a little stuffy. I wish all future guests of this home as enjoyable a time as we had.
Great property in a great location, with a welcoming host.
Stayed for christmas holiday with my parents and family. Had a total blast.
Very comfortable, very convenient to both Boston and Salem. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. One drawback- the only drawback- was the stairs to the 3rd floor- treacherous!
Absolutely perfect experience
Great accommodations. Quiet neighborhood and the house is comfortable and extremely well maintained. My only regret is we did not take the time to cook a meal in that fantastic kitchen. This is an unbelievable find and so close to the city.
Great stay in Melrose, MA
We had a wonderful stay at Greg's Melrose house! He was a joy to deal with and even checked in with us to make sure everything was going well. The house is as described and in a quaint town with good resturants, close enough to downtown Boston and situated to do day trips to Maine, New Hampshire, Salem, Plymouth and Cape Cod. We would definately stay again if we visit the area!
A good place to stay if visting the Boston Area
I rented this because my Venturers (Part of the Boy Scouts(14-20 year old coeds)) wanted to go to the Boston area. We chose to stay here because it was a short distance from all the area we wanted to visit which included Boston, Salem and Concord/Lexington.
We didn't stay inside very much. The kitchen was nice and had everything needed. The bedrooms were fine. Working with the owner was fine. The only minor issue is the kitchen is slightly elevated and we all tripped once going into when we first got there.
