We have a very spacious and stylish three bedroom, two bathroom home available. Gorgeous views, decks overlooking the lake, beautiful grounds, and magnificent sun sets. The main house has a Great Room, three queen-sized beds, a large lounging sofa, west-facing deck, excellent gourmet cooking facility and outdoor grill, and large flat lush grounds perfect for soccer, croquet, or napping! The Master ensuite has a private deck, gas fireplace, oversized bubble tub for two, double shower, and carerra marble vanity with double sinks. Cable and wifi included. We are on 2.1 private acres on Lake Champlain with a 200-foot beach on the Maquam Shore. We had a bald eagle here two days ago! Kayak and dock for your use.
It is a perfect place for a romantic or family reunion/getaway, and just right for a creative retreat. Come enjoy our lakeside wonderland.
There is another rental unit on the property which means you might be sharing the grounds and beach. Please be in touch if you prefer not to share the property, or if you wish to rent both units for a reduced rental. Thanks!
The additional comfortable art-studio turned apartment (approx 800 sf) is over our detached garage and available for weekly rentals throughout the summer. The garage studio has a full bed plus a king-sized Tempurpedic mattress in a sleeping loft, one bathroom with a stall shower, fully-equipped kitchen, sliding glass doors and deck overlooking the grounds and lake. Please contact us for information about renting this studio separately, or as part of a combined rental with the main house.

There were many problems with this property, here a few. It was dirty. The pendant lighting fixtures in the kitchen were completely choked in cobwebs and dead spiders. The windows were all choked with spider webs and dead spiders. The "Fully stocked gourmet kitchen" was very dirty. Broken glass and a lot of dirt under microwave. The coffee maker was rusted out. The oven was so choked in old burned food, we couldn't
use it. Old food and worms in the fridge. The shower drain in the master bath was so clogged, the bathroom almost flooded. The TV in the master bedroom had been removed. The outside of the home is neglected. The grass was about 8" tall when we left. Weeds completely surrounded the house and choked any flower beds that were there. The list goes on and on.
We did call the owner the first morning and he did send someone over to clean and she did her best, but this place needs a lot more attention
than that. He also said that the lawn would get mowed and it never did. He said there would be a bottle of wine waiting for us, there wasn't. He also said in an email sent to us just prior to arrival that he would be there there cleaning and when we called to complain about the dirtiness of the house he said "I'll never use that cleaning crew again". Was it a crew or him?? Should we mention the skid marks in the downstairs toilet?

Where to begin? We are a gorgeous west-facing beachfront property right in rural farmland on the Champlain Valley Bikeway, yet only one hour from the international city life of Montreal, QC, 45 minutes from hip, artsy Burlington, a little farther to Shelburne Farms and Museum, ten minutes from St. Albans, and 45 minutes from all that Jay Peak has to offer, such as the water park!

If you prefer to send a refundable damage deposit equal to the rental cost instead of purchasing the low-cost Property Damage Protection (with the written agreement that you will be responsible for the entire amount of any and all damage should it exceed the rental cost amount), that would be fine. AND FYI: In many years of renting this lovely property, we have never once had to keep any portion of anyone's damage deposit. We hope that fortunate trend will continue. Thanks so much!
