The property is beautiful and well maintained! Both houses are extremely clean and well stocked.

  • 5 of 5

Cindy and Mike are especially attentive to the renters needs- if you text , they answer in a timely fashion. There's plenty of room in both houses. The common areas are large and open. The bedrooms are perfect size . There are ceiling fans throughout, but we still packed a fan - just in case. The dock area is very nice, some shade on land and plenty of sun for the swimming area. We took advantage of the boat dock with hoist too ! We couldn't have asked for a nicer place! Too bad we had to leave!

A Fingerlake Gem

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family, 12 of us, stayed here for our annual reunion. What a gem. The houses were super clean, plenty of open space, a huge lawn, and a private dock. Cindy is a fabulous host; she responded to a minor issue within an hour and made us feel very welcomed. We enjoyed the boats, the porch and sitting on the dock when we weren't visiting the NY State Parks, Ithaca, Watkins Glen, Lake Ontario, one out of many wineries, and a goat farm. My husband loved the adjoining state park in the early morning and the little one enjoyed going to "the big water" to play on the playground and throw stones into the water. We love our ice cream and there were many stands for us to try. I can't recommend restaurants because we prepared most meals in the equipped kitchens. The extra refrigerator in the game room was appreciated for our drinks; no using our coolers for the week. The lake water is so clean, loved being able to see the bottom. We visited the Farmer's market in Trumanburg; small but enjoyable and an Amish/Mennonite store in Romanlus; an unique store. The internet was weak at times but not enough to lower the rating. I hated leaving this special Lake Place that I wish was mine.

A real retreat

  • 5 of 5

We have vacationed on Seneca Lake for over 30 years. It was the worse week weather wise we have ever had. It rained almost every day. Our party consisted of 9 adults and 4 children (ages 9-3 years old). It would have been a nightmare vacation if it wasn't for this property. We hung out in the game room, watched our grandchildren run around in the rain from the huge covered back porch. Our grandchildren were excited to sleep in the "Captain's Quarters" and fish off the dock.

Both houses were extremely clean and decorated beautifully. There was an over abundance of cookware, linens and lawn furniture. The yard, landscaping and fire pit areas are picturesque. This was the perfect place for our family. We had so much fun. We cannot thank the Motts enough for their hospitality and this truly is a lakeside retreat.

Lake Estate Family Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 3 generations stayed for July 8 - 15th . Our crew included grandparents, two 12 olds and a bunch of in between. For the past 15 years our family has vacationed at the Jersey Shore and decided it was time for a change. We were so glad we found this property. The homes were beautifully decorated and they suited us perfectly. It was great having two houses as well as having such a large property and lake front access. If you needed some quiet time you could easily find it. The houses and kitchens were each well stocked with basic amenities. Having laundry in each home was a plus. Much of our time was spent on the back porch of the main house. We played games in the yard, ate snacks and enjoyed drinks. We sat around the fire, watching the stars, eating s'mores and one night even cooked a dump cake with a dutch oven. We discovered a mulberry tree and blackberry bush on the property. We enjoyed the swing. During periods of rain, many played pool and ping pong in the game room. We also made trips into town to visit the wineries and breweries. I recommend a trip to Fingerlicks for ice-cream and for fried clam strips. Those with kids, a trip to Roseland Waterpark is recommended..small but fun! And of course the main purpose we came...the Lake! Such beautiful views each day. Some of us swam, others lounged on the the picnic table and chairs on the dock and others made use of the kayaks to paddle around the state park. The kids often rode their bikes to the park and spent sometime at the playground. It was great having the campground within walking distance. We were able to purchase ice, wood and bait. We did some fishing off the dock and caught a few. We also saw a crayfish in the water one night and one day found a bull frog under one of the kayaks. Overall such a great space to disconnect, spend time with family and enjoy nature! Wish we could have stayed longer! Finally.. Cindy is amazing! From day one when we first inquired about the property she has always been available to answer questions. She also makes sure the property has all that you need and that you feel at home. When we asked if there was a crockpot she said there wasn't but that she would get one for the week we arrived. When I mentioned we were bird watchers, she made sure the feeders were full and left extra seed for us. When we arrived, each home had a bottle of wine welcoming us. If you're looking for a Lake Estate Getaway...this is it!!!!!!

Awesome family getaway. Had family from 3 states that got together for the 1st time in years

  • 5 of 5

Clean beautiful houses and property. Loved coffee on the dock in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Could kayak during the day and make use of the game room at night. Close to many points of interest including Watkins glen and a ton of waterfalls. Of course there were more vineyards than you could stop at in a week. Highly recommended this property
