Engaging, friendly host interested in people and creative endeavors. I spend my time running a local non-profit organization that protects and enhances land and water through collaborative processes, research, design and habitat restoration efforts. I also have a business in interior design, creating beautiful and comfortable living spaces for myself and others.
I have established the gardens around the home to create a peaceful, beautiful setting with the hope of providing an oasis for guests to relax into and enjoy. I love being a host, providing a beautiful home and garden for others to experience and feel at home during their visit to Eugene. I love meeting interesting and friendly people and I look forward to hosting you!
Eve purchased this house in 2015
The moment I walked in to this house, I loved it and could see the potential to create a beautiful home for vacationers, and thus the creation of Jackson Star began! The craftsmanship is of high quality and it is obvious the house has been well-cared for over the years. I loved the floor plan on the main level and the loft is truly dreamy on a clear evening with the stars and moon visible from the bedroom window in the loft. The art studio behind the house has a gorgeous view of the trees and flowers that characterize the neighborhood. The neighborhood is full of great restaurants, markets and bakeries all within walking distance . Serene. Beautiful. Peaceful. Great neighbors!
Close to the Whiteaker neighborhood, Willamette River, central downtown Eugene and the University of Oregon.
We spent a weekend in the Jackson Star. It was a lovely home and a great location. We easily made our way to the events we had planned and explored some of the neighborhood for food and fun. The house was exactly what our party of 4 needed. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-appointed, and the loft was a cozy little retreat in the winter weather. Eve was very easy to communicate with and gave us great information. We will be back!
We stayed in the home to celebrate our holiday with our college age kids. We'll definitely be back for another visit in Eve's home. Thank you
We loved our stay in this beautiful home. It's in a great location and walking distance to restaurants and shops. Beautifully decorated with lots of great seating areas and a nice table outside next to a fresh fig tree. The owner was very helpful and accommodating - we would definitely stay here again!
The house was extremely well-maintained and is decorated in an interesting and eclectic manner.
The house is super cute and was in immaculate condition! The midcentury furnishings were right up our alley! The house's location is convenient to quite a few cool things: definitely visit the New Frontier Market one block away. Eve recommended Tacovore which was fantastic and we also hit up Laughing Planet for a healthy and delicious meal after a day of hiking (though we started at Sweet Life Patisserie before the hike for some amazing pastries)! We walked downtown to the Hult Center for an outdoor concert--not having to find parking was a bonus.
Some other pluses about the house: it was well stocked with basic kitchen and bath necessities and the backyard was private and beautifully landscaped. The only downside would be the studio house that is located right outside the back door and while Eve was staying there during our visit it might be awkward to have other guest renting it and being so close.
Overall I would recommend this house. It was very clean and convenient for doing things in town as well as close to area vineyards, U of O, and other Oregon sights.
My daughter wants to convert into a full time rental during the UofO school year. Comfy beds. Would be nice to have a place in front of house that was ours to park.
The Jefferson Westside neighborhood is an attractive, quite residential area within walking distance to the best entertainment and restaurants Eugene has to offer. Enjoy a quite evening or day in the gardens of Jackson Star, or take a nice stroll to dine out, hear music or see live theatre or a movie! An excellent location in Eugene, also featuring a park nearby.
