known as the first commercial street in Taiwan, however, the concept of Jie (mean
street) at that time was more like a settlement rather then a modern idea of street

In regard to urban development in this area, Shizi Da Jie was in the core area for
trade. For example, in the right side of the settlement was named as Xie Jie (shoes
street) and grass & flower Jie. As to the left side, there were a Zhu Zi Jie (bamboo
street) or Da Yin (silver street) and a Shang Heng Jie, etc.
Our house is a classical Min-Style house compound. For the restoration of this
historical house, we tried our best to keep and restored it authentically. You could
appreciate old time material world with original red-brick roof top, patio, old glass
windows, structures and aura inside.
