Overall very nice

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is very beautiful! Very nicely decorated and well maintained. It is really nice!! The only thing that was not great was the view. I am used to sitting on the back deck and looking off into the mountain valley, etc. This was looking at some pine trees in the backyard and you could see the cabin next door. I didn't care for that. But otherwise, as I stated the cabin itself was amazing.

Owner's Response: Hi Kayla, I am glad that you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry that you didn't realize that this cabin is listed as secluded and private, in the woods. Not a mountain view cabin. Even though you can see the cabin down the hill, it is a very private piece of property. Next time, we'd love to help you find one with a mountain view , if that is what you are looking for. Barbara

Great Cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 6 stayed here for 3 nights in August. It's a great cabin. It looks exactly like the photos. The management was very friendly. Check-in and check-out was very easy. The cabin is very well equipped. The only issue we had during our stay was getting up the steep gravel driveway with our overloaded two-wheel drive car which almost didn't make it.

Secluded retreat. A few cabins within earshot.

  • 4 of 5

Recommend driving a SUV. Had everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen, pots, pans, crock pot, pyrex. Nice nature escape. Enjoyed the nature sounds, deer and fawn. New washer and dryer. Plenty of entertainment in the cabin if you want to stay in and close enough to drive to Ducktown,TN to white water raft, visit wineries, HOLE IN THE WALL or Cabbage Patch.

Great location. Comfortable cabin.

  • 4 of 5

Overall good experience. Great cabin but some attention needed on housekeeping and maintenance. Dryer was also not working when we arrived. Child room dresser drawers were broken. Downstairs bathroom draining slowly.

Owner's Response: Hi Steve, Thank you for your review. The dryer broke prior to your arrival. All we could do was wait on the delivery. We are rather at the mercy of Home Depot. We did bring out extra towels for your family. The other two items have been addressed as well. I am glad your cabin experience was a good one. We look forward to seeing you and your family again. Our stay at the Rustic Refuge Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I and our dog( Hines), enjoyed our stay in the beautiful cabin. The decor in the cabin was outstanding with the different animals in each room. The number of BEARS featured overwhelmed any other animal. They were everywhere. By the way, on our trip to town on Tuesday, we saw a bear crossing Aska Rd. This made our stay even more exciting.

We LOVED it.

Amazing and beautiful!!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was amazing. Very clean and had everything you need just like at home. My adult kids loves the game room with the pool table and games. We enjoyed the hot tub and I personally enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the morning drinking my coffee. The beds were super comfy too. Lots of room and lots of great memories made there. The area is beautiful and lots to do. Whitewater rafting, zip lining, horse back riding, hiking and visiting area waterfalls. Tom and Barb were especially great and very accommodating. If you're looking for a place to stay trust me you'll want to stay at Rustic Refuge. We definitely will be back. Thanks for a wonderful time!!!
