Everyone Loved the long stay on the porch, even on rainy days
My family and I decided to have a week getaway, we chose " Angel's Roost " based off online reviews. When we arrived to the home it was equipped with everything possible to feel like you are at home while you are away. Very peaceful and well maintained, the water is just a small walk away and the nights are beautiful sitting on the front porch. The house had brochures to all the surrounding areas and places you could go to enjoy. Everything was exactly as listed! My family had a beautiful time and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit.
Everything you can think of to feel at home is provided at 'Angel's Roost'. We hosted a birthday party complete with Lobsters and Steak. There were pots for the lobsters and a propane grill for the steaks, and a dishwasher to clean it all up! Wonderful front porch and back deck, though not on the water, both have views of the Penobscot. Quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors, what you would expect of a sleepy coastal town.
A stone throw from the Searsport dock and shore, we launched our canoe for morning excursions. Very memorable. We will definitely stay again.
Our family (6 adults) had a wonderful time staying at Angel's Roost. The home was spacious and immaculate. Our furry friends (2 doxies) especially loved the walks to the beach every morning!!! Carol and Roland were terrific to work with....we would most certainly stay there again!!!
The "Angels Roost" was a very comfortable home-like place to stay.
This home was big enough that we never felt on-top of each other. Plenty of room for two adults, 3 children ages 14, 12 & 12 (Irish twins) plus being *dog friendly* we brought two out of our three dogs of our dogs with us. I should mention the WiFi was awesome too.
The bay is just a short jaunt for bringing the kids down to to poke around for crabs and shells. The pier at the public boat launch was great for the boys to fish off of, also so near by we walked.
"Downtown of Searsport" is just a short walk away with cute little stores and foodie choices.
Other local attractions can be driven to ~ 20 minutes to an hour away. THIS IS A GREAT LOCATION.
I personally enjoyed the grassy back yard the most; where I laid around with my dogs. Shaded in areas but also sunny in other area, nice family picnic table, Adirondack chairs plus a fire pit for toasting marshmallows.
Just a wonderful time and place to stay!
5 DOG PAWS...We arrived to a fresh bowl of dog water on the floor and local fresh flowers arranged on the table for the 'humans' to enjoy.
I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for great hospitality and New England charm. The location is ideal as well. The owner was so kind and accommodating when we found ourselves in need of a place to stay on very short notice. The house is well stocked with just about anything you can imagine. We hope to stay there again some day.
