We came to Salida for the outdoor lifestyle and the friendly community. We developed and built these luxury Salida River Front Condominiums in 2010, and will soon begin another project in Salida. Our piece of paradise is a mountain vacation destination in all seasons.
Maureen Schultz purchased this condo in 2011
This condo has breathtaking views all year round. Because of its design and location, it’s very quiet and relaxing (neighboring condos are owned by part-time residents). Grocery shopping and restaurants are all within walking distance.
Proximity to all local and regional attractions and events – it is minutes from any activity, whether you walk, ride, or drive.
The property, the furnishings, the location, the management....everything was a 10 out of 10.
When we first looked on VRBO for Salida, CO properties, we were immediately drawn to Riverfront Condos. However, we looked for several more hours and dozens of properties only to return and book Riverfront. Our condo was incredible!! We had morning coffee on our deck overlooking the Arkansas River and evening cocktails as well. Our condo was perfectly equipped and beautifully decorated. We loved our time in Salida but also took several short day trips to nearby attractions such as Leadville and Royal Gorge. We were celebrating our son's 20th birthday and my retirement and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and relaxing location. Our son had been fly fishing for a few months and we booked him a half day guided trip with Ark Anglers. They paired him with a wonderful guide and he described his afternoon as one of the best he had ever had. He landed both rainbow and brown trout and equated the excitement to that of his first deer hunt. The people of Salida were very friendly, especially Maureen who helped us with our condo. If you are visiting Salida, look no further than Riverfront Condos. We are planning our return in hopes of staying for a full month next year.
This unit is in impeccable condition, with every feature you would ever need. High quality finishes, the kitchen is stocked, and having two decks overlooking the Arkansas River is amazing. We loved it, and our kids didn't want to leave.
If we had any complaint, it would just be that the beds are super firm...I mean rock hard. With luxury pricing like this, we were hoping for something closer to what you would experience at a Hilton, where you essentially melt into the bed. All it would take is a nice mattress pad.
My family came to Colorado for a college visit with my son and decided to tack on a ski trip in Monarch. We selected Maureen's condo and could not have been more pleased with the location, quality and overall experience. The condo was clean, modern and comfortable. the location overlooking the river was fantastic. We had unseasonably warm weather, so we slept with the door open and the sound of the river rocked us to sleep! We'd certainly recommend it and plan to come back.
This was our second trip to these condos managed by Maureen and Dave. This year we brought our daughter, so we rented one of the two bedroom units. These condos are right on the river, and are beautiful. All of the furniture, linens, and kitchen stuff is first class. Two decks, one off the living area and one off the master bedroom. Having a one car garage that opens right into the condo was great for a ski vacation, keeping the car dry and having a place to put the ski gear. All of the great restaurants and galleries of Salida are just a short walk away. We love it! Also, Maureen was very accommodating to us because we had to stay an extra day due to extreme weather in the Texas Panhandle. Our unit was booked, so she let us stay a SINGLE NIGHT with no cleaning fee in a different unit. Very helpful! We are looking forward to coming back and checking out Salida in the summer.
Maureen and David rented this excellent condo to us in April, 2015. It was perfect for our family of four. The condo is extraordinarily well built, with many luxurious touches including a great steam shower. The deck overlooking the Arkansas River was wonderful; and the restaurants and shops of Salida are only a short walk away. Maureen was very helpful and knowledgeable about Salida and its surroundings. We're looking forward to staying at this condo again in the hopefully-not-too-distant future; and we'll continue to recommend this condo to friends and family visiting Salida.
Salida, Colorado, sits in a natural valley considered the “banana belt,” so called for its temperate weather year round. This climate makes Salida and its surrounding areas perfect for recreation any time. Visit the gorgeous ski resorts in winter, dine in some of the best restaurants in the region, hike or climb, with 15 peaks that reach over 14,000 feet in elevation. In warm months, take an Arkansas River tour, which winds its way through the valley. You can also kayak, raft, fish, or hang out on your riverside deck and enjoy your own view of this mighty river. Our luxurious vacation rentals allow easy access to any of these stunning locations, whether by car, on foot, or by bike.
Salida’s charming downtown area, the largest historical district in Colorado, is home to blocks of Victorian buildings with fantastic restaurants, inspiring galleries, tempting boutiques, outdoor sports stores, and an array of shops for kitchen, kids, books, knitters and quilters. It’s a great place to stock up or find a unique gift to take home.
