Come enjoy the privacy and seclusion only a Log Cabin in the White Mountains can afford. Our home is situated on 50+ acres with no visible neighbors, yet we are only 15 minutes away from some of the best hiking in the Whites and 20 minutes to the Franconia/Sugar Hill/North Woodstock/Lincoln downtown areas. The home was built in 2005 and has been well cared for and upgraded since that time. Inside you'll find brand new soapstone countertops throughout the kitchen and bathrooms, vaulted ceiling, hardwood floors throughout, incredible sunlight, plus brand new Viking and Bosch appliances. The place is very clean and updated. We have a large master suite upstairs (Qn bed) with an en suite and full-sized futon; a renovated bedroom downstairs (Qn bed); a bedroom (2 twins) downstairs; a loft that sleeps 2 (Qn pullout). Outside, please feel free to hike the property or walk alongs the streams down to the Wild Ammonoosuc for a swim. Alternatively, you may just simply want to relax on the deck or enjoy the fire pit out back. This cabin provides activities for 4 seasons! Meditate, write, hike, ski, re-connect. Regardless, we are confident that you will leave our home thoroughly renewed and ready for whatever life throws your way.
My name is Chris and my wife's name is Renee. I grew up in southern New England, while my wife's family is from the Caribbean. We both have demanding jobs (I work in Energy and Renee is a Professor), so owning a slice of the north country has provided us with an ideal place to escape Boston and reconnect with nature.
Owner/Manager purchased this house in 2008
I love the outdoors and the timeless beauty of the White Mountain National Forest.
Chickadee Farms is where my family heads to relax and recharge.
This house was perfect for a quick weekend getaway with our kids. Beautiful, very clean and close to the national forest for hiking and exploring! I would definitely stay again
We spent a very nice week, enjoying both the cabin itself and the Whites. Cabin is comfortable and well equipped, with everything you would expect for an easy stay. Tip: If you are arriving after dark, look at the mailboxes on the south side of the street to see the house numbers!
Great property in a remote location. Very quiet with no neighbors in site. The house was well appointed. Clean rooms and plenty of space. Chris was responsive and provided info when needed. I would stay again. Thanks!
Our family of 6 had a fun and relaxing 4 nights at this beautiful home. It was a great location for hiking in the White Mountains or enjoying finding numerous covered bridges. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Chris was quickly responsive to any questions and great to work with. Thanks for sharing you're lovely home with us.
Wonderful home in a wonderful setting ...would stay again!!! Cant say enough!
Absolutely loved this place! Such a gorgeous view and the cabin was perfect! My boyfriend and I went up for the weekend and wished we could stay longer! Chris was super helpful and gave us directions to some fun places to go in the area. We will be coming back again!
The Kancamagus highway is gorgeous and cradled by mountains, but the best stuff is hidden from the road: waterfalls, rivers, ponds, and lakes. You may be more likely to see a moose than another person!
