Tucked away just off Nasa Road One is our charming lakefront home. It is the perfect place to create lasting memories filled of fun. There are so many activities to chose from, this is the ideal place to sail from, fish from or, just relax from. There are countless stores and restaurants just minutes away. The house is easy to get to from anywhere and with so much to see and do, you will have to come back!
Property was awesome! Great space and layout for family Christmas celebration and son college graduation!
We were looking for somewhere to take our son for graduation and came across this rental. We noticed the home as we were driving in on NASA pkwy and knew we found the perfect place. This home offered plenty of parking, easy access to Kemah boardwalk, fresh fish markets and many other local attractions. The owner was very accommodating, answered all questions quickly and offered suggestions for local restaurants. The house was very clean and the kitchen will impress all weekend chefs. We were able to tie our 20 foot boat off at the dock behind the house. We fished clear lake and caught some redfish for dinner. Saturday we docked at a local restaurant and met the non fishers of the group for lunch. We will be back!
The house is even more beautiful than the photos. It is bright and sunny, well equipped and well maintained. We loved watching the sailboat races from our balcony. Great location - 10 minutes from NASA and 10 minutes from Kemah boardwalk. There is a nice grocery store seven minutes away and lots of restaurants in the area. The owner was helpful and accommodating.
Easy booking, but emails often weren't returned in a timely manner when one had questions.
Upon arrival @ 3 pm, the access code given was denied several times. Even though we were given the owner's name in case of problems, he never returned the calls.
When finally contacting the manager, she informed us that the power was off and the electronic keys did not work. Air conditioning tech also arrived while we were waiting to fix another problem. After many calls, a locksmith was called to make keys to let us in. Not knowing when he would arrive, hubby and I went to dinner. We returned at 6 pm to find working keys under the door mat. Upon entering, we noticed that 2 smoke detectors were chirping non-stop...so another phone call to arrange for someone to fix the alarms in, of course, the very highest ceilinged bedroom. It was 7 pm when we finally could start enjoying this exquisite home.
Everything in this house was of superior quality: the floors, the woodwork, the kitchen, bathrooms, and all the furniture. We felt right at home when we discovered the same master bedroom furniture that we have! The towels are large and expensive, as is the gorgeous bedding. The kitchen has most everything you might need, except for a wine opener and crock pot. Views from this home are amazing: the bay and yacht club. We were allowed to use the elevator since one of the guests had a recent knee replacement. Be prepared to walk up / down stairs numerous times while you visit.
One major concern was the cleanliness of the floors. It did not appear that the area rugs had been vacuumed recently, and the floors needed some tlc as well especially to remove food crumbs and cobwebs on the first set of stairs.
Sleep quality was another issue. Even though high end window coverings are in most rooms, the uppermost windows are not covered and let in light all night. Since the yacht club and docks are right next door, those lights shine in every bedroom all night. Noise was a problem on both Friday and Saturday night. Don't know if the yacht club has weekend parties or it is from an establishment somewhere on the bay, but loud booming music played until at least 2 am each night.
We were promised a partial refund for a tribulations upon check in, and are hoping to receive the $$ shortly.
Check out was simple...just left the keys and touched the key pad.
Bottom Line: Would I stay here again? Probably, but not on the weekends.
This home is amazing. We had a wonderful time in this home. We brought our paddle boards with us and paddled a very short way across to Cabo for drinks, live music and dinner. We were also able to dock our boat. Amazing views!
Are you looking for a charming waterfront retreat to enjoy 3 levels of open patio space and breathtaking panoramic views of Clear Lake, including access to private docks and an array of luxurious amenities? Thinking yes? Then this is absolutely an excellent opportunity for you. The salty sea breeze and vast array of boats on the water are beckoning you to take them in and the soft sounds of the water gently lapping against the pilings are inviting you to come relax with a stroll on the docks.
