This property has some positives, but a lot of negatives.
Positives include: the availability of two kayaks and a canoe, a nice dock, and an outdoor firepit. Kitchen is adequately stocked, although some items missing. (wine glasses, other things)
~ Owner arranged for driveway excavation and re-graveling during our vacation rental! This consisted of one entire day of extremely loud backhoes, dumptrucks, and workers alongside the house. Day ruined.
~ This area is very noisy...First of all, across the pond is Route 4 with constant logging trucks and other traffic all day beginning early in the morning. Second, this road is under heavy building and construction pressure -- one day was spent listening to chainsaws and backhoes all day long right across the road where a home is being built. Worse, there is some construction happening at the end of the road and trains of dump trucks hauling dirt were constantly up and down the road from early morning until 6 pm. This is obviously not the owner's fault, but take note if you are looking for peace and quiet because this is not the place.
~ Lack of hot water. Two people cannot take a hot shower within 8 hours of each other or hot water will run out. One person cannot take a hot shower after doing the dishes. One person cannot take more than a 5 minute shower without running out of hot water. Solution was to turn water on and off during shower and conserve, and to space showers out for two people.
~ The "TV" is basically a small computer monitor bizarrely located in a corner away from the living room near the dining room table (cannot be moved). This means, if you want to to watch TV or video, you must sit on hardback wooden chairs at the dining table.
~ The WIFI is very spotty and often cuts out for periods of time.
