La Sirena is tastefully decorated with brick & native stone accents with a mermaid-themed, Caribbean flair. The great room features comfortable seating areas in the living room with flat screen HDTV, cable service and DVD player. The adjacent dining area features a indoor dining with seating for six. There are three sliding glass and screened doors leading to a private covered veranda deck which features an alfresco dining area which seats six, a hammock for 'swingin' in the breeze and inspiring views of Kiddel Bay and the beautiful Caribbean Sea.
A mahogany breakfast bar with seating for three separates the living area from the fully-equipped chef's kitchen which features unique concrete counter tops, custom mahogany cabinets, stainless steel appliances and all of the amenities required for preparing snacks to full meals. The cathedral ceilings adorned by ceiling fans, arched windows and large sliding doors capture the hillside and trade wind breezes to provide mother natures cooling breezes.
A full bath with large walk-in shower is located off the great room and a mahogany ship's ladder leads to the loft bedroom which features a comfortable queen bed. There is also a small writing desk adjacent to the front entrance.
From the veranda, a spiral staircase descends to the lower patio where mahogany French doors lead to each of the two light and airy master suites. Each of these suites feature queen four poster beds, ceiling fans, and en suite baths. One bedroom features a very large walk-in shower and the other has a private alfresco garden shower. The washer and dryer is located in a walk-in closet in one master suite.
The 10' x 20' pool and poolside wet bar cabana with 'bar' seating for four are the focal points of the lower patio. Adjacent to the wet bar cabana is another wooden table with seating for four which is perfect for shaded, casual dining. Relax in the sun or the shade and blend up tropical drinks while lunch or dinner is on the gas BBQ grill.
With all the fine amenities La Sirena has to offer, one of the best may be the short walk to the beach at Kiddel Bay. St. John Beach Guide asks "Why Kiddel Bay?" and the response: Choose Kiddel Bay if you're looking for a genuine "Off the Beaten Track" beach. The beach is coral rubble, not sand, but you won't find many others on the beach, there won't be parking problems and there won't be breaking waves on days when the north shore is exposed to the breaking swells caused by storms in the North Atlantic. Relax, swim and enjoy the fine snorkeling in the bay.
Choose La Sirena if you're looking for a comfortable, relaxing, genuine "Off the Beaten Track" vacation on beautiful St. John! The location and amenities at this finely appointed vacation home are sure to meet and exceed your expectations!

We spent 8 glorious nights at La Sirena. This was our 2nd second trip to Coral Bay and the 2nd with Cimmarron St. John as well. Our first stay was on top of Ajax Peak and we decided we wanted to be closer to the water for this visit. At first, we were a little concerned being so far out from Coral Bay, but once we got to the villa, all of our concerns were alleviated.
The layout of the villa is perfect. It was just me and my husband in this large villa so we stayed in one of the masters on the lower level, and used the other lower master that has the washer/dryer as our changing room. We did not sleep in the loft although it looked like generous space for a couple as well (note, you do have to climb steep ladder stairs to loft). The kitchen had extensive cooking/eating utensils, 4 burner gas stove, oven, toaster oven, toaster, microwave, blender. The main living space is comfortable and roomy, although we were rarely inside. The full bath on the main living area is large and you can see Kiddel Bay from the window. The master bath in the lower room closest to the driveway is also very large while the other lower master with the al fresco shower is a fun addition!
The pool patio and cabana is where we spent most of our time at the house. What a nice treat to have the pool to cool off in after a day of hiking, snorkeling, or shopping (we did wish the pool was saltwater instead of chlorine). We cooked 7 of 8 nights at the villa, using the grill in the cabana most nights. The home is very private, even though there is one home close by, both homes are secluded by thoughtful placement and natural foliage. You don't have to worry about what you look like in your swimsuit ;) If you turn out all of the outside lights on a clear night, you won't believe the amount of stars you'll see!
Things you should be aware of if you have never been to Coral Bay: this is not a resort town, there aren't flashing lights and dance clubs. Go to St. Thomas or elsewhere for that. You must have 4-wheel, the drive to the villa isnt for the faint of heart! There is no A/C however, there are floor and ceiling fans in ALL bedrooms, screen doors, and lots of island breezes to keep you plenty cool. The island relies on rainwater so be mindful when washing dishes, flushing toilets, and taking showers. You're in the tropics; bring mosquito repellant and sunscreen. Most of all, enjoy the peaceful surroundings in this exquisite villa that is truly off the beaten path!
